Not true. Anyone can get an Amex Platinum these days, as evidence by the crowded airport lounges. I'd argue the Chase Sapphire Reserve is probably harder to get and has more benefits.

Not sure, only have 810+ and only use visa on Amazon because I get 5% cash back on everything. When I see a store that doesn't accept Amex I lol and 360 out.

I have an AMEX Platinum card, and pretty much the only reason I have it is so I can drop nuts on females and people in the service industry when needed. I was talking chit to a bartender at a bar I go to, and he was trying to falsely accuse me of walking out without paying my tab in the past. As soon as he saw the card, he immediately started kissing my ass.

Also I do like using the worldwide airline lounges while traveling as well.

I have a plat and it low key sabotages you. You go to a lounge, stuff your face for an hour and then take a 7 hour flight while having to take a mad sht the entire time.
