Fuark is it worth it to learn to code?
With AI poppin off I kind of want to learn html, java, c, sql..
I'm not really interested in computer science at all though.
I just want to prove that I can do it...
How long does it take to be good enough to build sites like youtube, pornhub, misc?
Mainly just HTML??
Honestly I prefer reading and writing over math and problem solving..
Thinking about creating a novel for young adults about witches and wizards and trolls and chit..
Would be fire...
How hard is it to write a novel and get it published and distributed?
Can't you write an Amazon e book pretty easily?

Brb youtube just runs off html
The fact that you even asked this question and havent done a shred of research is why
1) I'm not gonna give you an answer
2) I know you're not gonna make it
Good day sir

No, the "just learn to code, bro" train left the station years ago.... AI will replace coding and customer service jobs soon. Next would probably be finance jobs.
Only tradie jobs will survive.

Couldn't I pay some code jockey $50k to build me a pornhub or youtube?
I mean how much fukkin time do you have to put in to be creating video games and AI?
You would have to start coding as like a 12 yr old and have a real interest in it...
I feel like im fighting myself just getting started so idk if it's for me...
I see all these hackers and young app developers and it seems alpha as fuk not gonna lie..

All the Google, meta, and tech layoffs show you're better off learning how to use a wrench. Srs

Tried it. Wayyy too boring if you’re not really interested/actively trying to build something important. Literally would shoot myself if I had to code every day srs
Now, I just sell physical products and stay focused on non-boring stuff.

Just being able to do a bit of coding probably won't get you a high paying job. You need experience with a bunch of other nerd nonsense like git, CI/CD, cloud etc.

If you do decide to try it, don't do any of the bootcamps you have to pay for. You can learn more on your own through youtube videos and udemy. Getting your first job will be the hardest part, once you're in it's not as bad.
I've heard of people dropping $30k for a couple of weeks to do that stuff, idk how that's even legal, it's total scam. Everything you need is online for free.

I know a guy I met in starbucks making big bucks in electrical engineering who works with Python on and off.

frontend (what you see) is HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- HTML and CSS is easy to learn, but for anything actually functional you need to learn JS also
backend can be a lot of languages, but most popular ones are Python, Golang, JavaScript (yes it can do front and back), Java
you will also need to learn about APIs and the different frameworks, such as React, Django, etc

I'd say we're still a good 20 years away from the doom scenario of AI completely replacing tech positions. This is because companies have proprietary products and ideas and formulas and calculations or intellectual properties they want to protect for a client. When working on said products it would be stupid to input trade/company secrets into some AI algorithm thats specifically designed to retain information that could potentially be retrieved by a hacker.
If anything roles in cybersecurity will really take off because with this exponential push into automation people are going to want to make sure all of their chit is secure. There's not a ton of coding involved in cybersecurity, but there are many in the field that have a pretty firm grasp of SQL and Python.

Are you sure that learning to code is a decision that can be made? I've tried and failed multiple times.

Every man's #1 goal should be to escape wage slavery and subservience to the clown world.
How do you think learning to code is going to help you accomplish that? By getting a wage cuck coding job?
