you need to talk to people who have experience doing this or something similar.

this kind of insider info is invaluable in your decision to start this

I don’t know any business people, all I know is wagies

I’m a smart guy, I can put 2+2 together. I think I know the main sports this will be profitable. I just gotta figure out how to buy the products for cheap and make a large profit for them. I’m even considering making my own food/drink items and selling them

Chips/drinks/pastries

Overhead costs vs profit would be the biggest consideration.

You'd need to place it in a high traffic area to increase the possible profit.

Call the number you see on a vending machine, ask if they have any for sale & if you purchase can they help establish you in a point of sale location. (School, business office, etc.)

It’s really that simple.

If you go into it ya better also know how to fix them.

As for drink vending machines, the older ones (stack vendors) are easy to fix, easy to adjust to what your selling (12 oz can, 16 oz can, slim can, 20 oz bottle, etc...), cheap and easy to find. Newer glass fronts with the picker cup can be a bit expensive and a PITA to fix, but will probably bring more money. I work for a company that fixes vendors but I myself fix other chit we service.

I used to work with a guy who would say he helped pay for his college education by setting up vending machines. He went onto bigger and better things later in life.

the good spots are always already taken. Some property owners are going to want you to pay rent for the spot. Vending machines used to be more common back in the day.

I’ll give them a cut of my profit but that’s it

This too.
I just need a product that’s cheap to buy (or make) and I can sell and make good money off it, I already know warehouses will make big money.

I’ve worked in places like retail, warehouses and chit and ALOT of those places never had vending machines, and people use to have to go out and travel for food. also used to work at an airport and there was one vending machine in the office spot that would be empty in no time and we’d have to wait days sometimes for the next delivery or we’d have to go through the airport and chit to buy food (time consuming)

The locations I’m not worried about, it’s buying or finding the product for cheap that’s the hard part

There are two answers.

1- internet answer- hundreds of dollars per day, you need to refill the machine a dozen times per day and it always sells out,. The machine nor the products cost anything to run and refill and its all 100% profit, maybe even more.

2- the actual answer is its a competitive market and big companies already have all the choice contracts so your food will probably expire before you sell it all. You will barely make enough to pay for the machine if even that.
