How does everyone have so much money now??

It used to be you had to work a full 40 hours per week and basically live paycheck to paycheck. Sure some people made a little more and had some extra money to spend but it wasn't a lot. Now everyone seems to have a high paying career, owns multiple businesses, makes money online, doesn't work or only works 10 hours per week from home. Everyone seems rich now.

Also places in general are just constantly packed now. There used to be slow times. Now every single place is busy no matter what time of day. Idk how people can afford to be spending money like this daily lol. Especially with record inflation.

Most people aren't rich, they're just in copious amounts of debt

Funny how it works. Entry level jobs are paying 2x what they used to. People on the top are using the excuse of inflation to raise prices and they are making record profits. Those in the middle are getting rekd.

Some things have gone up massively in price. Such as going out to eat at restaurants. But why shouldn't they charge more, everywhere you go they are packed out.

Key word is seems

Huge amount of people are legit living paycheck to paycheck down to the dollar, srs

A lot of those people you see out in bars, restaurants, trips etc are completely broke and either digging deeper debt or hitting near 0 before the next check comes. Seems like a lot of people just don’t really care any more

However it’s also never been easier to make huge amounts of money now either. A small online business charging $200/month can net you an extra $2000-$4000 with only 20 clients

In January 2022 and January 2023 social security recipients received the biggest boost in payments in 20 or 30 years.

So old people have more money now.

I think about that sometimes, too. Every single economic stat we have says most people are getting poorer by the day, but you can't swing a dead cat around a walmart parking lot without hitting a dozen $75k tradie trucks, teslas, and european SUV's. Restaurants charging $50/plate for very mid food, throwing $800k at a chit tier crack houses, my local pool guy says you have to wait 2 years to get a pool built, etc. Every luxury goods sector is MOONING.

There are 2 things happening:

1. The true MOGGERS are richer than ever. If you own a profitable business, good chance you have had record proifit years since covid. You can't buy a ferrari, rolls royce, custom mansion, or yacht right now. So much money has been transferred from the middle class to the top 1%, they are literally running out of ways to spend it. Cash is FLOWING for them, hence why bs like NFT's took off.

2. The people trying to keep up with the MOGGERS (miscers) are fraudin' and creditmaxxing harder than ever. No retirement, no savings, credit card balance transfers, taking out crazy HELOC's and chit like that. These people will rope if anyone ever figures out they're actually peasant poorcels.

Yeah to be honest I think it’s mostly old people spending now. Last year at this time, average age at my regular bars was like 25-30. This year it’s like 50+ and I kinda stopped going because the bartenders started acting like dickheads because old people are so naive and easy to manipulate.

This will adjust soon enough.

More like supply chain issues and/or companies intentionally reducing supply so they can increase prices

the thing is, you should use those services regardless of your wealth because an interest free loan is always a great deal

Supply of course is artificially limited like always, but Ferrari is still putting out record numbers now. Same with Rolls and a bunch of other companies I looked it.

Make no mistake, 90% of people are broke af. They just blow their money on stuff like nice cars instead of investments that no one can see.

To start with 98% of people are completely full of chit equivalent to the people back in the day that rolled up their windows when they got close to their house so that the neighbors thought they could afford a car that had air conditioning, except now they also have to front on the internet too. I also think A LOT more people have gone back to living at home with family and have some extra bucks for eating out and such. They're also feverishly building more apartments everywhere so there may be more steady money in that industry now and there's places like Amazon that employ massive amounts of people.
