Thinking of attending a RFK Jr event near me, am I crazy (lifelong GOP voter)
My voting history below:
2004: bush jr (turned 18 one week before the election)
2008: mccain
2012: didn't vote as I was deployed and absentee ballot never arrived. But was depressed AF after Obama won (I know MAGA crew hates Romney, but I freaking loved that guy, perfect resume, perfect career, perfect family, great hair). Legit one of my worst periods mentally for me srs
2016: voted for Trump in a deep blue NYC district and told all my friends he was going to win (they thought I was crazy)
2020: voted trump and was so depressed/angry at him for screwing up his campaign
I like RFK Jrs message, seems to be a nice compromise in the country, and he seems to be a based democrat (hes anti illegal immigration, wants a strong border, pullback of military from overseas etc). I hate how most of GOP right now is super cucked and continues to lose easy elections.
Does he have a chance? Feels weird to consider gathering with fellow democrats (ive had a huge hatred of that party since my youth growing up in a far left area).
Help me democrats of the misc.

The DNC will NEVER have him represent the party.
They are 100% overrun by mentally ill sexual deviant child molesters.

No you're not crazy. What's the worst that could happen? You're going to hear his story and not like/support it that much? Big deal. More people should be open to this.

Yeah I'm going for either him Or DeSantis. Both have a logical approach to this country and Desantis has turned my state into a fukking pearl. But like cobhc just said the Dems will never have RFK and I think he's too much in the middle for the RNC as well. Sucks that great minds like him can't be supported. Two party system is trash.
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

I also respect some things his family did srs. I don't agree with JFKs entire platform (as I honestly think Nixon was one of the low key best presidents weve had), but I like how JFK brought a masculine bent to the presidency.
examples:
-JFK was huge on physical fitness. wanted all military officers to be able to cover 50 miles on foot in 20 hours to keep commissions. current military is allowing women and trannies in and lowering physical standards. stuff like this matters in my opinion on the culture of the usa. now they run a 50 mile race every year in remembrance of his pledge. wish we had a president that would challenge country to do the same

U realize that thousands of Americans are dead for his ambitions right?
JFK was great because toward the end of his life, he had this great vision for peace in the world, and he took remarkable steps to get us there. Unfortunately, he was killed, probably by our own govt to stop us from being too friendly with the USSR and to get us into another war.
Also JFK was a damn good speaker. I recommend everyone watch his American University peace speech. The moon one is epic too.

But yeah. I'm sure his vaccine position is 'retarded'.
A guy who's not getting paid off by big pharma to shill their products is the retarded one.

if he needs to kiss the aipac ring to win support so be it. sometimes you have to do what you need to do. hes also big on pulling troops out around the world and focusing on defending the usa only.

Nixon committed some pretty terrible war crimes as well.

Not at all. Go check it out, listen to what he has to say. You sound a little further right than me (I was more of a Ron Paul guy in the 08/12 campaigns, hated McCain and Romney) but RFK is my #2 choice right now. The man is intellectually honest, detests the deep state for what they did to his family and I believe that his primary concern is the truth.
I don’t believe he can win, however he may beat Biden in the 1st two primary states because the DNC has rejected IA and NH for political reasons. This could lead to some Bernie-like momentum that makes life difficult for the status quo.

I'd vote for whoever is the most ethical, which RFK jr seems to be. I don't care which side wins. I just want a win for the average American and at least slow down the corruption at this point. After that, I'd start getting picky on actual issues.
