I feel ya OP as I am thinking about marrying an asian woman.

I think if he looks Asian then his white friends will call him Asian. When I grew up with a half black friend we called him black because he looked black. We didn't mean anything by it, we thought it was cool.

However, as I've gotten older and stayed good friends with him I realize that that isn't the case. He genuinely felt both his white genes as well as his black genes as he still does today. He thought like a white kid but looked like a black kid. He became a skateboarder. Don't be supprised if the kid latches on to some sort of counter culture.

We had a blast. Man I miss those days.

I think it can be a little confusing for a kid when his friends are saying they see him as black/asian when he himself feels both. It will be part of his adolescence just like puberty. It will be more important than usual for him to have a good friend group. He may require some extra confidence boosting dad time and acceptance to help during those years.

(not to say that retreating and becoming a vidya/porn addict would be acceptable but maybe send him to karate class or skateboarding or something like that if he doesn't respond to football baseball ect help him become the man he is supposed to be)

I think you may want to be a little choosy about what school you send him to and make sure that there isn't a toxic white jock bully type culture there.
