He said he only made the movie Titanic to fund more trips to the wreck. Making hundreds of millions of dollars in hollywood is just a hobby.

Knew immediately where it was and what happened.....

Mr Cameron told BBC News that the search 'felt like a prolonged and nightmarish charade where people are running around talking about banging noises and talking about oxygen and all this other stuff'.

'I knew that sub was sitting exactly underneath its last known depth and position. That's exactly where they found it,' he said.

Costs:

Over $6,500,000 spent searching for Titan submersible (prolly double or triple tbh if you include all labor involved/coast guards time)

With all this, the total sum so far is well in excess of six and a half million dollars spent. To date, no one knows whether it will be the taxpayers of the countries involved, the affected ones themselves, or some insurance consortium that will bear the brunt of the cost.

He made the list:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._own_invention

"Stockton Rush (1962–2023) was a pilot, engineer, and businessman who oversaw the design and construction of the OceanGate submersible Titan, intended to take tourists to view the wreck of the RMS Titanic. In June 2023, the craft imploded en route to the Titanic, killing Rush and four passengers.[26]"

Imagine being at the bottom of the Atlantic and suddenly you hear audio alarms that your piece of chit carbon fiber hull is starting to crack.

Cameron goes hard. Guy has connections that told him on Monday the US Navy's secret listening devices had heard the implosion.

There is a very strong chance they heard it starting to go. They had jettisoned their weights and were on their way back up when it imploded.

yeah. I knew that. half the reason so many ships came from all over france, canada etc. is cuz they have all that cool equipment they were dying to try out. maybe they even knew as well it had already imploded. was a huge waste of resources regardless.

what is troublesome is how it was dragged out like a soap-opera.

Chad Cameron dropping knowledge

Delamination happens all the time in race cars, just the repeated vibrations and G forces in turns etc,

Hell in boats and fiberglass, fiber not laid and sealed properly delaminates also simply by the water pressure.

I don't get how fish can still live down there. Even in the Mariana trench which is like at least twice as deep as the titanic there is still signs of life.
Like the pressure is enough to bend steel but the flesh of these creatures is ok and they just chill there?

Its more than troublesome once the Biden connection came up. They clearly dragged this out in the media to distract and cover.
