If the watch the documentary on oceangate from a few years ago, something was breaking literally every time they went down lol. They went out of communication for 4 hours once.

There's no air to compress in an xbox controller, bud. There are still full bottles of champagne on the bottom. Apparently they pulled a few up and had a little nipper.

Sometimes you can look at something and gauge it's structural integrity and soundness by eye. Like with some cars, you can tell its a tank.

Any high end sports car can go 100+ and feel like nothing. But try it in Gmiscer's Jetta and it will shake and combobulate like Sputnik on reentry into the atmosphere.

The fact that the CEO flew there to meet them without them even knowing and offering a huge discount like that just shows how desperate and much he was struggling to find enough people to go on his rides. SAD!

legit......nosharkIQcels hijacking this thread

to be fair theres a chance I'm wrong (small chance).

first question, what camera took that pic at that depth? source? would be dark as fuk down there. blue is more of a above 1000ft likelihood.

literally says memes on the post. irony would be so great that the logitech survived the implosion and being hit by shrapnel or whatever. logitech would use that pic as their entire ad campaign for eternity.

fools keep on focusing on the electronics. that isn't what did this thing in....

Its a multitude of things not just sight. You also sit in the car and feel the sturdiness of the materials and the feedback through touch and sound.

Im not sure if the kid got to touch the titan in person but I'm sure that if you tap your knuckles on a fully metal hull and a full CF hull, you'll get a sense of strength of the two materials. Kids instinct was spot on.

The little metal capsule that James C rode in was full metal and that thing looks solid as fuuuuark.

The only decision I would trust that fatso trust funder's instinct to is where to get lunch.

Everyone (but I guess sharkIQcels) seem to overlook that Oceangate went to the Titanic many times. I've had a hard time finding out the exact number (because that would be more explanatory than anything...as I said F1 cars carbon-fiber degradation doesn't last a season so a submersible only has so many attempts as well).

tried googling (initially read somewhere it was around 30 times down but who knows? maybe it was test-dives that doomed it?)

...................

How many times did the Titan go to the Titanic?

The Titan has made the voyage to the Titanic three times, once a year since 2021.

OceanGate has stated that the Titan completed over 50 test dives, including to depths similar to those of the Titanic, both in waters around the Bahamas as well as in a pressure chamber.

In the texts it was the dad telling Stockton what his son said. The dad wanted to go, he was probably being a douche and ridiculing his kid. The kid's friend brought up structural integrity, and who'd NOT be concerned about that after being made aware?

No, it didn't implode because it wasn't a submersible vessel. Point being, the controller was subject to pressure collapse, followed by an explosion all within like 30 millisec. Those wine bottles wouldn't have survived that, and neither did the controller.

It was father's day and the kid felt some sort of obligation to accompany his father mainly for that reason. That's all there is to it really. That's coming straight from the kid's aunt.

I heard a giant squid wrapped around the submersible and put the squeeze on.

Anyone who makes a submersible hull out of carbon fiber, is a fkn retard. Especially when they continue to ignore all the 50 year old white men's warnings.

I do feel for the 19 year old. Imagine going through all 12 years of School, learning a bunch of useless crap and being Liberally indoctrinated by mentally ill school teachers... Then being financially set up for post Secondary, knowing you really don't ever need to work a day in your life because Daddy's rich as fk.

Only to be squished into a curried butter chicken paste, 13000 ft under the Ocean, in a carbon fiber tube created by a woke fkn retard. 19 years old. Ouch.

You are 100% correct sir. That's why I have usb drives with mostly 70s, 80s, and 90s movies plugged into every TV I frequently use. However, due to technical difficulties from the effects of delta 8 gummies and alcohol on my brain, I never got around to watching The Abyss last night. After Leviathan, the TV played the next movie in the list which was Marathon Man. So I got to watch Laurence Olivier drill out Dustin Hoffman's perfectly healthy teeth. Which was still quite disturbing at the time, LMFAO...

Yeah, Deepstar 6 was cheesy but still watchable. That underwater creature looked like a snapping turtle and a lobster had a child named Slopster. But the nipples were on point. For some reason chicks back then looked so much better than the trashy garbage we have to look at today.

Anyhow, I did learn something from Deepstar 6. Implosion seems to be a better way to go than explosive decompression. I guess I'll get around to watching the Abyss later tonight.

I was replying in regards to the father/son who didn't go. But yeah I did read about Sulemon, that chit just sucks. I can't imagine forcing my son to do something he thought was dangerous. :-/

Are you smoothbrains really debating that controller pic? It's a fkin meme retards. You won't see images of the implosion site for a good few weeks, if ever. And no the controller wouldn't survive that immense force. Champagne can survive that depth because the pressure inside the bottle and outside of it is equal. If it was full of air it would implode at like 100ft

W.O.W. I have seen some dumb things typed out on this internet board. But this takes the entire cake. Congratulations.
