Any law enforcement/legal brahs in here? Got a question
So while I'm at work the other day, I get a text from my wife, who's pregnant, saying that some crazy guy at the grocery store screamed insults and threats at her for absolutely no reason. She said she went to pick up a drink from the refrigerated section and this dude just started yelling at her saying she was ugly, she would never have anything, and "oh yeah" or something. She said he was wearing tight, women's leopard pants and was very skinny like a meth head. Clearly the dude is totally f*cked up.
Anyways, I was absolutely livid after hearing this and was asking her if she needed me to drive over there to find this guy. Legit wanting to kill this motherf*cker. She said no, the guys probably already gone, and nothing else happened. But my question is, if I was there and this happened and I beat the ever-loving **** out of this stupid f*ck, how much trouble am I going to get in? Is there any case for defending yourself and your family when some crazy scumbag is insulting and threatening your pregnant wife?
I worry about cases like this, because I think I would absolutely flip out if this happened, and to lose my job over this and not be able to support my family is a huge fear of mine. But at the same time, I think this is a pretty normal reaction that almost any guy would have if somebody did this to his PREGNANT wife.

Hi man,
Let me go ahead and say that i know you're hurting deep down and so i will spare you any bad words
My mental health is actually better than it used to be. I definitely am more grateful for the little things and i am more attentive to the people in my life. I also read voraciously during my day, i do watch what i eat. Of course there is the loneliness issue, but i am okay at the end of the day.
There is no reason to be angry.
I wish you the best..and i do feel bad for those who have to try to bring down those who are hurting mentally. Some day everyone will realize that even though mental illness is invisible , it is so much harder to deal with than physical pain.
Shame on you OP, you made a bad move with this one.
I am also not hindered by my felony convictions whatsoever. I have a place to stay , a vehicle now that i paid cash for , and i am eternally grateful

unfortunately, hes free to say whatever he wants to your pregnant wife boyo. first amendment > yours and her feelings
you'd catch some serious charges if you actively stalked this dude out and injured him
however, with a little bit of planning on your end you could "stumble" upon this person conveniently alone just you and him somewhere..by chance..and perhaps take a bat to his knees and rip his teeth out with pilers

she or you cant do **** until he actually assaults you or imposes a serious threat (up to judge to determine).
pretty much shes just supposed to walk away and mostly ignore crazy guy. even leave store and come back later or go elsewhere.

Returning to the store to instigate continued confrontation isn't going to be legal anywhere. If you're there and feel threatened or that someone else is threatened, it's self defense. Retaliation after the fact is not gonna go well with the law.
