That's the question and would have me concerned about the costs you could expect to see when repairing stuff like collision damage, other random crap that fails (infotainment / electrical / interior parts), etc. They're gonna make the money somewhere, either they'll make it or they won't survive. You can find doomsday articles on Google saying stuff like "Rivian fender bender turns into $42k repair bill" but who knows how much of that is fear mongering.

I don't plan on touching any of that money for at least 20 years, so I see no sense to sell a thing. I just don't plan to buy more at this point.

ASML is still worth buying IMO, I'm frankly surprised they haven't blown up the same way other semiconductor companies have (and ASML is one of the few companies in the world with a true monopoly position in their industry. Actually, I will edit this and more accurately say: ASML is the only mega cap monopoly in the world). Once ASML begins using their shekels to consolidate the semicap industry, its game over (srs)
Also, when China levels Taiwan and the world has to build $500 billion worth of new fabs to replace TSMC, every semiconductor company in the world (even these supposedly $1 trillion ones) will need to rely on ASML for their chips to be made

We know that 7 stocks made all the gains this year.
For the market to sell off these names need to sell.
Without these names selling this market isn't going anywhere.
My post above how commodities have started to pick up in price again is that stupid bond market clowns will realize that Fed can't back off inflation fight and will have to keep raising rates to 5.75-6 and than you get credit crunch and they are forced to trim the shiit holding all this up.

^this data is till May 17.
These gains are even bigger now as of today.
like massive more up for all 7 since May 17th.

I don't even understand wtf is happening with $TSLA and how it's at 52 week highs all over again just because of it's stupid charging network. We already know margins are coming down, they've now potentially given in for something that truly differentiated their EV vs the competition, and who even knows how much extra money this will add. Is it really the hundreds of billions of dollars in market cap that's being implied? I highly doubt that.I have no clue haha.

Idk, I'm starting to underperform everywhere outside of my retirement fund (hence why I always DCA into index funds no matter what), but I just can't justify jumping into valuations at these levels, especially since we're entering a tightening cycle.

Recently market gains can be attributed to the fed stopping QT and pumping more cash, but it seems like once they actually pivot the market bottoms out
Is there any reasonnotto hold in a cash position right now and buy at a 10-20% discount

What if the bottom is not a V shaped recovery? What if the bottom is above the price when you sold?
Cash position is viable if you are comfortable with your ability to analyze the market and if you are OK with not catching the bottom.
