On election day 2022 30% - 60% of Maricopa of Maricopa County ballot tabulators malfunctioned, almost exclusively in heavily Republican-leaning precincts. Voters were forced to go to other precincts, or put their ballot in a "black box" and assured they would be tabulated later. At Kari Lake's lawsuit Maricopa County Elections Director Scott Jarrett revealed that the machine settings which caused the problems were performed just that morning. All Maricopa County equipment had tested out fine on the night before.
