How's your summer misc?

Summer starting off nicely, although it's been really rainy lately. We had a pretty good storm yesterday, but we needed it after a period of dryness and drought. I have a lot of plans lined up that I'm looking forward to and a number of personal projects coming to fruition. My gardens are coming it extremely nicely this year given the weather we had so far across the spring. Very fertile. I already have some bell peppers coming in.

I planted foxgloves last year and I really like them a lot. They look like this odd alien octopus tentacle flower. Here's a photo I grabbed the other day when they bloomed:



^^ Gardening is good for the soul. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I have some hydrangeas growing as well, actually the neighbour of the foxgloves. Beautiful flowers when they bloom. They also change colours depending on the PH level of your soil, so that's interesting. They'll go from pink to blue depending on this factor, so it's a nice way to check if your soil is more acidic or alkaline.

I love Fuji (Wisteria) and thought it was native Japanese flower but actually it's not.



I also love the Japanese Chrysanthemum.



White ones are my favorite.



The chrysanthemum is used in the crest of the Emperor and the Imperial Household.



Also, its symbols are used by Police/Fire Department/Passport.
