Not yet. The Major Questions Doctrine was used in the case:https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/IF/IF12077. Cliffs, as I understand, is that on questions of major political or economic weight Congress can override delegated authority.

But I've read that this was not used before Roberts took over the court. And it's claimed to be completely fabricated. It sounds like a contrived and "farcical" doctrine with no legal standing. Why might the SCOTUS want it or use it?

Because, it gives a way for the conservative elements of the court to feign legal weight to their ideological agenda and shoot down policies which are either liberalistic or just benefit the common folk. They realize loan forgiveness it helps the underprivileged enormously and encourages them to better themselves through the best means available, education.

But this allows the courts to just say "Nope, this helps people who aren't us, and since Congress didn't authorize this exact action, we won't let this happen." Seems like there's a reason this is a recent doctrine, and it looks like it's all ideologically motivated.
What are your thoughts on Robert's point that "modify" the student loan program doesn't mean "transform"?

Nope, not how it works. One time fee, no refund. You can change your mind the next day, and you're not getting that money back.

You pay for a class, flunk the class, you're not getting the money back. You pay for a class, 3 weeks later, you drop out of the class, you're not getting that money back.

Lmfao you made up a hypothetical that didn't mirror reality and I corrected you. Now you double down with this nonsense. LOL

And if you ever went to college you'd know that you can drop a class, hell you can even drop out of school for the semester, and still get a partial refund.

I can't leave this place for the same reason you came back after 2 months: it's so fun to beat up on conservatives. It's become an addiction to me lol.

After 2 weeks you're not getting a refund.

Another example, you pay 3 grand for like 60 personal training sessions. Let's say you change your mind after 5 sessions. You're ****ed, you're not getting the money back.

You take out a loan, you pay it back. It's really that simple Patty. Maybe all these educated parents, of these educated children, should have put away money for their children's future, or taught them some basic lessons in finance.

You couldn't beat your way out of a wet paper bag, let alone a debate in politics, son. You only succeed in making yourself look like a retard with your socialist viewpoints. Same goes for RapeyPat and Peggy.

Let me dumb this down for you and see if that helps you..

Biden said he would forgive some of the student loans debt. He tried to do that and will try again. You don't get to claim that it's unreasonable for people who voted for him to expect some loan forgiveness. No matter how many dumbass analogies you try to present.

The fact is kids today are expected to take on a massive amount of debt for legitimate, essential degrees. They can't even think about a family or buying a house until they're in their 40s. And this country needs educated workers.. we don't need a country filled with high school GED morons who can only get taxpayer funded jobs because they aren't qualified for anything else..

Where are you getting these examples from? Who pays for 60 training sessions in advance?

I’ve always just paid monthly and the coach won’t charge if you reschedule a few days in advance.

See this is the crap I'm talking about. Of course a low IQ moron comes along and repeats the right wing garbage talking points. In order to feel "smarter" than the actual smart people, tradies need to artificially prop themselves up by claiming they're the dumb ones for getting useless degrees. Do people get useless degrees? Of course, but the VAST majority don't. This is what the right does with everything. Take a tiny percentage of people who abuse something or do something stupid on the left, and project it to ALL liberals. Trannies?.... you're ALL groomers. College educated? Must be a useless degree.

Congratulations, you found a gym or a club that allows this.

And there are those who will pay for 60 training sessions in advance.

Hell, why do you think gym employees love the month of January? Because all these morons come in with their New Years Eve resolutions, and they sign up, knowing they're getting that commission, knowing that they're making a ton of money for the gym, and knowing in about 3 months, 90% of them will be gone.

But guess what? They still paid the money for that year, and they're not getting it back.

If their degree was so useful, they wouldn't be broke, and it wouldn't take them 10-20 years to pay back their loan.

Market is oversaturated with degrees anyway, son. The last šhitfűck security guard job I had before I started overseas contracting had a receptionist making $14 per hour with a fcking PHYSICS degree. The dude literally beat math on hard mode and couldn't find a job. He told me that in order to be competitive, he had to go back to school to get a masters.

Way too many people are stuck in the mindset they need a college degree when they get an apprenticeship and get paid to do it in a skilled trade. College debt is a choice, not compulsory

PS: all făggots and trannies ARE groomers. You just happen to be an enabler.

The individuals that are complaining that their loans aren't getting paid off are able bodied youth who have plenty of opportunities to pay it off.

The problem is that the government decided to play the "high risk" game and loan money to individuals who have a higher likelihood of defaulting.

This is in line with the new policies the Biden regime wants to impose with mortgages; high risk borrowers will get better rates and pay less fees.

Finally, when we break down these groups in to individuals, we find many interesting things. 1. The highest rate of exploiters are the rich or children of the rich. 2. Rewarding bad or no credit. This will ultimately lower the values and standards of a society, because why work in credit or get a good job if there is less reward for it?

Government interference almost always leads to individuals lowering their standards to meet the low standards of the government. This is the outcome of socialism.

"It is not the moral basis that is the concern, it is the moral results". Praxeology must be the foundation of an economic analysis, but socialists make no considerations at all for it
One party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.
Hayek and Mises were right; they're all socialists.

I'm anonymous user "Seatard" posting on a backwoods internet message board, I'm not asking and am fine if you decide I have zero credibility. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Still, no one is arguing that loans are "impossible" to pay back. The discussion is a little more nuanced than that.

Odd thing to say, considering you and RapeyPat have lost literally every debate you've ever attempted and are regarded as two of the bigger forum laughingstocks.
