I feel ya man. I also had a guy point a gun to my head and forced me to sign those loans. I begged and pleaded to join the military, go to trade school, or at least pick a less fancier college that doesn't cost an arm and leg per credit, but he wouldn't budge.

The bastard also forced me to pick that useless gender studies major and go on those dreaded holiday vacations every semester.

I'm seriously distraught right now and need Joe's help!

If you take out a loan on the car and don't want it, you can just hand the car back or sell the car and pay back the loan that way. Education is disanalogous this way since it's not something tangible that you could hand back or sell for the money you invested in.


You could in theory confiscate the degree and strip the person of their credentials, but WTF benefit does that provide to anyone? You don't get the money back since it's already been invested in educating the person, and now all you've done is make them even less employable.
