My friends and sisters all have kids so I see how much work it is. Your life is basically over if you want to do it right.

Women pretend it's hard because they are lazy and don't want more expected of them.
There is nothing wrong with you wanting to be lazy and selfish. Just own it instead of trying to cope.

I was 32 when I had my son and it was fine since I'm healthy and active. I honestly can't imagine having a baby at 40+ though. Playing with nieces and nephews or grandkids is far different than having your own kid 24/7. I can't wait to have grandkids one day. All the fun and you can give them back when you're tired out. lol

Still can't believe my son is going to be a senior. The whole point is to raise them so they can make their own way, but I'm still trying not to think about it. It seems like yesterday, that we brought him home from the hospital, or he had just learned to walk and I would chase him on my hands and knees. Actually, the hands and knees thing is another thing that's gotten a lot harder. We even have way better carpet now than we did in our apartment back then, but it never used to hurt then...

OP,
Lots of people need to cope. They sort of hit 40 and start going 'oh man when I was young...oh man...' sitting around feeling sorry for themselves. I heard a fat behemoth at a bar last winter in NYC claiming that she "read that shoveling snow is bad for your back" and I burst out laughing in her face, ahh man it felt so good.
My wife is going to give birth any day now, srs. I can't wait. Just feeling the baby stretch in her belly when I sing to it, srs.
Hope you enjoy it though.

Literally 24/7 chores and responsibilities. They need constant attention and generate constant chores. I would not be able to keep up at any age.
Hope you enjoy it though.

Look at the normies weight and bodyfat. They're nearly obese and can't sprint for more than 3 seconds
