Impromptu trip to Chicago.

Flying out at midnight. Besides not getting shot, what are some things to do in Chiraq? I'll be there from Tuesday-Friday.

Ha, not surprised you're the first reply. I'll be off of Wabash (lord help me). Will be busy tomorrow morning up through early afternoon but from Tuesday afternoon to Friday morning I'm free. Def going to get some pizza.

Can a Chicago native give me the rundown on this place

I thought Chicago itself was safe (as far as cities go), it’s the area around/south Chicago that’s dangerous
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5

Been here 5 days. Not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I'm in the city of course but so far haven't seen anything bad/crazy yet. People are decent, women are smokeshows, and the food selection is pretty great. Although eating a Deep Dish is sht. Everything is good until you get to the crust/pie part. Even made the same was as a pie crust and tastes nothing like pizza crust. Son I am disappointed. Had to throw away the second half. Went to Giordano's and got a thin crust. That was great.

What tourist stuff did you do? I wish I would have caught this earlier as I had posted a solid food and drink rec for another miscer not long ago.

The architectural river tour is a must. Sears tower observation deck and the Shedd aquarium and art institute are solid.

From what I've seen the crime is everywhere. Flash mobs, car jackings, robberies at gunpoint, stray bullets. Would have to seriously consider even visiting Chicongo

Touristy stuff? Not too much really. Here on business/personal stuff. I did do the River Architectural cruise which was quite interesting. Tried a deep dish (naw). Subbed out Giordano's with thin crust which was infinitely better. There was a Cubs game today but I had stuff to do. I did try some of the clubs the other night and it was OK'ish. Going to force myself to get out and go early tomorrow cuz I'd like to go to the aquarium since they just had a new baby penguin born there - first in over 8 years. Other than that, not really much else except for hotel/business stuff.

Solid recommendations. The boat cruise was great aside from CW (??) having a company tour on it so buncha loud mouthed drunk dudes in suits making it impossible to hear what the docent was saying. Observation deck might be a no-go since I have height issues. Heard the art institute mentioned several times. We'll see what else I can squeeze out tomorrow. Going to be leaving Monday to Boston and then to NY.

You're from Ohio. From what I've heard and from Cleveland being one of the top listening cities for Public Safety feeds, you guys got your own sht going on there as well. Not to mention Cleveland was showcased on the First 48 many many times. I'd say you're about equal to Chicago.
