I’ve been to 4 mindblowingly good shows since February. Vader, Carcass, Enslaved, and Rotting Christ. Eluveitie and Alestorm were not exactly mindblowing but still fun. About to go see Amon Amarth. That’s 7 shows in 7 months. I agree the direction metal is going in lately is not good but you can’t say there’s no good metal if I can find good shows every month.

Well mainstream anything is usually not great.

Forgot to include Obituary in that list. Saw them recently and they’re still going strong. Most of those bands I mentioned are aging though. I do worry about the future.
