I was in HS in the early/mid 90s and loved it. So much better than what I imagine HS is like now.

Was smart enough to get good grades without trying, so my main focus was having fun with friends and girls. Didn't have phones, internet (technically I did at home because my Dad with a tech guy), and we actually went out places all the time. Cold approached all the time, didn't care if she was in a group of friends. Would either hang out right there or get the number and try and remember which one she was later (never even got around to contacting most of the ones that gave me numbers).

That fun and carefree life before responsibility started was a lot of fun. Even my first few jobs were a thing that you did for a bit to have some gas money ($0.90 / gallon gas) and to meet other girls / new friends.

I'm sure someone has that copypasta about never having that type of love again.

Everyone was a part of it, just not the same part. I’m happy with the friends I made. Most HS drama is the first 2 years anyway. A lot of dumb stuff. By senior year my class was very chill and many people remembered their old friendships again. I guess it comes back to you when you know everything is about to change.
