The actual universe could be infinitely large. And if it is infinitely large, there’s an exact copy of you somewhere reading this exact post.

That's not really how it works. The universe was much "smaller" billions of years ago, which mean galaxies were closer to each other. Then space expanded exponentially, eventually surpassing the speed of light. That means the further you look in "distance", the further you look back in time. The earliest galaxies in the universe can be seen as they were 10 billion years ago, but are now so far away from us (due to the universe's accelerated expansion) that at this moment we will never be able to recieve information (light) of its current form. So they are essentially in another "universe" because there is no possible way to ever see/interact with them again. You can only see them as they were billions of years ago, as that information (light) is still travelling through space and can be observed by telescopes.

Tldr;

The further you look back in space, the further you look back in time.

Those distant objects will never be able to be observed in their current form, because they're on the other "side" of the universe and the space between us and them increases faster than light can travel.

This. All that can be done as humans is to observe data and develop theories to explain the observation, then perform experiments or make predictions to test the theories. Humans have gotten extremely good at this. And Theoretical physics just took it to the next level.

The amount of evidence that exists for alot of these theoretical explainations is astounding. It's kind of hard to argue against the Universe being at least 13 billion years old when there is literally energy being detected from that long ago.

You don’t know how it works either. You trying to understand let alone explain how the universe works it’s like a 5 dollar calculator trying to film an Oscar winning movie. You are simply not capable of it. Nobody is.

What is the universe expanding into? What is it occupying then? What’s beyond? What was before it? Your mind goes blank when thinking about these concepts for a reason. It’s not our place to understand it.

Personally I believe in the possibility that we are living in a simulation (srs).

Think about it, how much have video games evolved in the last two decades. We were playing street fighter with ****ty graphics on the 90s and now we have huge realistic worlds with thousands of characters. Imagine what kind of video games we will be able to build in 100 years. Now imagine in a 1000 years. Would an universe exactly like ours be that hard to code with technology from the year 3023? Of course not.

I think this was our way to immortality.

You don't need to understand why something is happening, or even how it is happening, to observe that it is actually happening. Your mind will go blank if you refuse to think deeper about it or learn from other people who have already done so. (Einstein, Dirac, etc.) The best anyone can do is explain, using mathematics, what they are observing and then make predictions based on that math. Dont get me wrong, we humans definitely have a limit to our ability to understand the universe, but you would be surprised how clever the smartest ones are and what they figured out together.
