I told you idiots this was the deal months ago FYI. It is the right call. He would force Ukraine to concede some territory and then offer it our protection. And if Putin refused to honor the deal, we'd put nuclear weapons in Ukraine. Putin's regime is weak and his military is nowhere near as powerful as anyone thought. We could coerce an end to the war. Putin would honor the deal because he isn't an idiot.

The problem is Trump has no chance of winning. His legal troubles make him a nonstarter. Biden is also fully capable of forcing this deal as well. He's just waiting because we can inflict maximum harm on Russia before making this deal. It's tactically sound but disgusting. Biden's goal is to make this as costly as possible for Putin to deter any future leaders from trying anything like this again.
