So Fast...

Picked up my daughter from the airport late last night.

She had been in MD for about a fortnight visiting some friends there.

Tells me she wants to move to the Baltimore area and get an apartment with a couple of people near these other two friends that just bought a house. Like before we could even walk to the car.

And it seems like she means it. Though TBF this is the 3rd "going to live with friends" plan. The first was to FL, but after a second visit she had a major falling out with the main person she thought she wanted to live with. Second was TX and preferring around Austin.

It's at least a little bit on me because I've told her from her early teens that it's important to make good friends while you are young because most people suck at it as they get older + she doesn't have a lot of family. No siblings, didn't grow up w/cousins around. There is me, boring mom, and her grandparents. She would rather live with me so at least there is that.

Her childhood was so choppy and disrupted. We moved 8 times from when she was born until she was in 3rd grade. Then my ex dropped the divorce on us when she was 12. 50/50 custody for a little over a year before we ended up living across the country from each other and I barely saw her at all for around 2 years, then 2 years together here...though she was in hermit recovery mode/grieving the first year and a half at least.

I don't feel ready.Feels like she breezed right through my life and I just have a bunch of snapshots.

I guess I will know more when I see her awake again. Going to go walk before it is absolutely baking.
