In-N-Out Burger, a popular fast food chain, will soon ban its employees in five states from wearing masks, emphasizing the "importance of customer service," according to a new policy.

Starting Aug. 14, In-N-Out employees in those states who want to wear a mask must have a valid medical note "exempting him or her from this requirement," a company memo says. Those who wear masks for medical reasons must wear a company-provided N95 mask, it says.

The new policy will apply to the chain's employees in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Texas and Utah.

"Our goal is to continue to provide safe and customer-centric Store and Support environments that balance two things that In-N-Out is known for — exceptional customer service and unmatched standards for health, safety, and quality," the memo says.

From what I understand their original intention is to be put on with clean hands and only worn for 20 minutes before it needs to be replaced. Once it's touched it needs to be replaced.

I've seen people take them off and the inside looks VILE. People who wear them all day are disgusting.

Half the staff spends their shift outside anyways, taking orders from the mile-long drive-thru. Masks are even more pointless then

Good. Even Lord Fauci and the CDC have finally been admitting that masks are almost completely useless against covid. I don't see it often anymore, but it does get kind of old seeing people in masks all day, including workers at stores you may have no choice to interact with.

Before someone decides to chime in and screech "How does it effect you!?", no, I don't care THAT much, and no I don't ever say anything about it to them. But, I implore you consider this: 3.5 years ago, if you entered any public business while covering your face up like that as anyone other than a Muslim woman wearing a burka, they'd have instantly suspected you were looking to rob the place and call the cops on you.

And again, it's been 3.5 years now. Fkn get over it already.

Seems like most of the folks I see masking these days are high school kids that are afraid of what they read on the Internet. Vary rarely see an older person even in a mask now.
