I hate immigrant Indian culture

I don't hate all Indians of course. But I have visited India (witnessed people treating a "lower caste" like dirt) and I've worked with enough immigrants now to establish clear patterns.

So much favoritism, entitlement, frugality, prestige-seeking, backstabbing, comparison, brownnosing, image and perception building. Everything feels inauthentic.

I guess one positive is more focus on family.

I'm open to the possibility that I'm biased because H1-B immigrants tend to be the "higher caste" folks with those ingrained values.

I also recognize that there is a subset of American culture that exhibit these traits, but it seems more consistent across the immigrant Indians.

Never been to India but growing up in the mid-west & later the west coast, seems every city/town had a โ€œbad side of the tracksโ€ part of town & you could always tell the people from either side. Grew up poor on the bad side In Illinois, but family became very successful & moved out to CA. However now even Beverly Hills has turned to chit.
Was watching Beverly Hills Cop the other day & itโ€™s like watching a different world.

It always amazes that with so many Indians, it does not matter where in the world you go and how long that Indian may have lived in that country, they almost always retain that nasty Indian accent.

Its a like a force of nature.

I like Indians. They are some of the most intelligent, hardworking, entrepreneurial, gentle, and friendly people on the planet.

i was once told this by an Indian Dunkin Donuts Store Manager who i used to see all the time when i jokingly asked him why he was working on Sunday as i saw him sweeping the parking lot -

โ€œI work 365 days a year. I work Christmas day. I like it. If I stay home I get bored. My thing is different. If I stay home I spend it, if I go to work I make it.โ€

LOL, I literally just got a new female Indian boss. I don't know if it's the accent paired with the culture of how they talk about things, but she just seems like the biggest c*nt. I've had an other indian female boss in the past just like that. Now looking for other jobs. I was literally going to post a thread last night asking "Anyone ever had a female indian boss?" but was too lazy and went right to bed.

Both of these ring true to me FWIW.

There are worse things than a group of people who are conservative, highly aware of social hierarchy/status, and expected to be high achievers.

If you think about it just a tic this is quite consistent with Asia. Ponder China before the rise of communism.

Indian people seem to be much kinder overall, at least within their caste/tribe. Maybe due to their many religious traditions.

It's a rich culture and I expect India would look much different if the country hadn't been dominated by Britain.

No they are not, there are some but not all and that is a horrible work ideology. That basically means his brain is programmed that his worth is tied to what he produces. I would not envy that way of thinking.

Speaking of the English, it always amazes me how tied they are to India. I see a lot of their "influencers" always going to India or doing something involved with their people. Most British consider curry a part of English food. My friend concludes that Indians are the British AA's and they feel English guilt.

Most Commonwealth nations have closer ties to India due to historic reasons and therefore have a slight respect and understanding of Indian people and Indiaโ€™s traditions as opposed to the US were it seems everyone just dislikes Indians immigrants (for obvious reasons , no one in any country like Indians that are straight from India) and donโ€™t know about the culture.

Even after 9/11 20+ years ago Americans used to beat up Indian Punjabi Sikh people cause they wore turbans thinking itโ€™s the same as the middle eastern headwear Muslim men wear. (Despite it being common sense that some Punjabi 7/11 owner differs to a middle eastern man wearing a completely different type of head scarf from a completely different religion).

But in Commonwealth nations (England, Australia, New Zealand etc.) [excluding Canadia cause in candia the Indians over ran the place and turns into India 2.0] most Commonwealth counties had 2nd generation born Indians (western born Indians) assimilate into their English/Australian/New Zealand cultures easily.

As far as curry in England. Butter chicken (the main type of westernised curry) was created in England (by an Indian immigrant) and England has terrible food so they pretty much have to claim Indian/middle eastern food as their own otherwise everyone will just eat baked beans on toast and pretend that it is a Michelin star dish.

Like I said earier in the thread...

Would these dudes on the misc crying about Indian immigrants prefer to trade them for Hatians, S0malians, Eithiopians, Arabs, etc.?

Because I bet you not a single one of them would take that trade lmao

I despise it, honestly - regardless of which race is doing it. It clashes so hard with my own culture/values. A persistent obsession with external image over being genuine.
