Ever take a job that turns out way betond your skill set?

And the "training" sucks cos they assumed I am good to go lol. Holy fook brahs, just praying to get to my 90 days. I told them straight up where my skills are and it turns out nothing I know is applicable. Stressed AF right now, /deer dairy......

OP was about the situation. But since you asked.... industrial maintenance at a big food company. Ovens, conveyors, robotics, etc.

Honestly when breaking down wtf I'm going to be working on I'll ok once I get the basics down. Crazy I'm getting paid $15 more an hour than the production people who know more about the machines than I do right now LMAO.

Yep. I've found one manufacturer's learning site, lot of videos and manuals thank the Lord, unfortunately in early 2000s robot voice LMAO.

Lot more to it than that lol. That video is an example, but when you break it down most things are speed, tension, settings, related and are easy to adjust. The difficulty is the fact that at certain points the lines simply cannot stop so product ends up being wasted while working on whatever the fuk keeps jamming.

When typing this chit out it did seem ridiculously easy. I guess it's the fact that everyone around me knows WTF to do and I'm clueless.

Everything is easy if there's training and/or materials to learn from. I trained myself at my previous job since info was easy to find and manufacturers were super fukking helpful. A year later they asked me to show a new "trainer" how certain machines work.

You fukkers kicked my out of my funk tho, thanks for that.
