Ponzi schemer and Trump pardonee Eli Weinstein facing new charges

A New Jersey man who was twice convicted of defrauding investors out of $230m and whose lengthy prison sentence was commuted by Donald Trump when he was US president is once again facing fraud charges, federal prosecutors in New Jersey announced on Wednesday.

Eliyahu “Eli” Weinstein, 48, of Lakewood, who is also known as Mike Konig, is among five men accused of defrauding dozens of investors out of $35m, according to an arrest complaint unsealed in federal court in Trenton.

He only served 8 years out of a 22 year sentence thanks to Trump. Trump ally and Epstein attorney Alan Dershowitz asked Trump for a pardon of Eli's behalf. Trump's Jewish daughter Ivanka also took a personal interest in the case.

Also, I've already been critical in the past of Drumpf having Jared and Invaka involved in chit and allowing them to influence any decision making. I didn't agree with that chit at all.

I'm not 100% sold on DeSantis (and even less so after his terrible campaign), but he at least DOES the things Trump only threatens/Tweets he will do.
