A heart attack and cardiac arrest are not the same thing.

A heart attack is restricted blood flow (a blocked pipe, so to speak), where the heart continues to beat without oxygen and the muscle dies.

Cardiac arrest is when the heart stops beating.

Cardiac arrest is generally an electrical issue and happens in much younger people (I had a pacemaker at 25).

Medicine actually knows suprisingly little about many things and understands even less.

90% of what doctors do is the equivalent of giving painkillers; they just do something to stop you experiencing the symptoms, without ever treating the cause.

60% of people with a certain set of symptoms/test results get better with treatment A, so they prescribe A.

20% with B
10% with C
5% with D
etc

They just try A, then B, C etc in order, without, in many cases, knowing what they are doing. They follow flowcharts and workflows; that's their job.

I'm sorry that you don't know what has caused your problems. You just have to live your life and cross your fingers that your test results match a flowchart somewhere and that the person who has seen your results has seen that flowchart.

I won't even get started on malpractice being the third highest cause of death in the US.
