Fk the 3 day thing, do what seems the most appropriate to you. You are the one who was there. Take cues from the conversation you had, did she mention things she likes, she is into etc?

Bro last time I had a girl not hit me up the day after a date, I texted her asking if she had seen where I left my wallet because I lost it. That got us talking again and she ended up coming over the same night for drinks at my place, which led to smashing. I told her I drove back to the sushi spot from the night before and found my wallet in the parking lot btw.

I've learned over the years that the less fwarks you give the more fwarks you get. In other words don't try too hard, don't expect much, be personable, and take genuine interest in the person. and if your meetup results in horizontal refreshments then so much the better, if not - no problem. I've been friends with young lady for 4 years and we finally met up last fall (didn't expect anything). I was surprised as hell when she moved in with me for a couple of weeks.

I would definitely text the day after a date/meet. Congrats, btw. I think it's awesome you found someone who's so goal-oriented and ambitious. Sounds like the date went pretty well. Your mistake may have been waiting 3 days to text her. She probably assumed you weren't interested. Before you leave the date you should try to set up the next one or at least text the next day.

This. I always appreciated when the guy would text later that night making sure I got home ok. Most would text when they got home or the next day. I don't like games so that worked for me.

OP next time just send a quick text after you get home or next day saying that you had a good time and ask if she'd like to meet up again.
