Because you didnt understand proper (shooter consistency) maintenance of your firearm you want to argue that its ok because the same people dont actually cut/grind into their firearms? That's like saying someone that cares about their house shouldnt clean it because they didnt actually build it.

Cleaning your own firearm is key to shooting consistently. The people behind the counter are most likely laughing at you and/or just think you dont know what youre doing.

All you have to do is stop caring so much about what other people think and talking about the topic of the thread and you wont find yourself in this position.

Well, I leave in a bit to close a huge deal. But yeah, for the first 5 years of retirement, it was pretty much just golf, range, and such after I gave the wife several months of travel.

I wouldn't know, they'd probably chuckle and tell me to call another range or something. Why would I want to decrease my accuracy by having someone else clean my firearms? Makes no sense if you care about hitting what youre aiming at.

Hey, if she doesnt give AF and just likes plinking rounds, that would actually be a viable reason.
