My local grocery store is trying to go 100% self-checkout, but there are problems with that. Coupons not scanning, items not being in the system, have to call over the bad-breathed attendant every few items to make sure I'm bagging everything and not stealing, etc. Then sometimes they close some of the self-checkouts at 6:30 PM when the place is still busy, so only one self-checkout section is now open... and there is a fcking line to use it.
Next time I go to the grocery store I decide to use the staffed checkout, tell myself it's OK to wait the extra 10-20 minutes because there are only two staffed registers open. The dumbass working the register doesn't scan the coupons I hand to her ("oh tee hee I forgot! Sorry about that buh bye!") so I have to go wait in line at customer service (another 15 minutes or so) to get my coupons taken and reimbursed for the $15-20 or so. Like.... fukcing hell, man.

It's also why I think some people are idiots for wanting to wait in the bagging staffed checkout line when they are only buying an item or two at a grocery store. It's like just use the self-checkout you retard lol.

Because no one gives a fuk. There isn't any incentive. When there isn't any incentive, most service jobs or low value jobs will be treated with low value work ethic even moreso than usual.
I went to culvers yesterday to treat myself and got a chicken sandwich and a concrete mixer. At the window they gave me my number and a mixer. I drive up into the lane to wait, take a bite of the mixer and realize they gave me a reeses one which I didn't order. They come with my mixer and sandwich and I tell them I took a bite of this one and I think it was supposed to be that guys. The kid said "Keep it I don't give a fuk." Then he handed me my food. I mean it's cool because I got an extra mixer, but it was literally the easiest mistake NOT to make. They even asked me my name and the girl said "I need a mixer with oreo" and they still gave me the wrong one.
Good luck world.

Ended up waiting over 20 minutes in that McDonalds while these workers could not figure out their lives. I noticed that there was no rhyme or reason to how they were making orders so eventually I had to go up to the counter and tell the dude what I ordered and he grabbed it and gave it to me. Didn't end up paying for it LOL
Many other people got theirs the same way so McDonalds gave alot of free meals out that morning, drive-thru customers paid though LOL

They literally don't care about customers at all. They don't smile or ask how your day was and are usually just waiting to get back on their phones. Had one dude completely forget about my order at Popeyes and it's very common for fast food restaurants to shut down or stop serving before the listed close time. These kids don't understand that they will eventually be out of a job once their company goes out of business for terrible service.

20% of the time amazon delivers the wrong product....and end up giving it for free
20% of the time... when i make an order they end up ****ing it up ....they proceed to reimburse me and send my order again for free
As a consumer ,im happy with this kind of service ... i get tons of free stuff ...but yeah if these industries keep sh!tting on their own end user... theyll be out of work in the next decade or two

Fast food is not fast anymore. The McDonald's closest to me is the worst. It can take 45 minutes in the drive-thru even if there are only 2 cars in front of me.
