Will rentcels EVER learn?

At this point, I'm convinced that rentcels have simply burried their heads too far in the sand to be able to be taught.

As a twenty-something, kinda hard to buckle down and accept doubling my monthly CoL to get an overpriced mortgage with insane interest rates.

Brb rent is currently $1750/mo. And yes I will pay it Tuesday don't worry. Just as a mortgagecel pays their bank Tuesday too.

If I put 20% down on a decent house nearby, I'd have to pay...

$3k/mo for: Mortgage, 6.635% interest, HOA, Property Tax, Home Insurance.

Add-in also landscaping, and if you don't have 20% down then even worse mortgage/interest totals, as well as PMI to boot. Plus whatever maintenance costs creep up.

Easier to throw $1750 at the leaser.

I still agree mortgagecel >>> rentcel. But back in pre-COVID days, the gap between "current rent" versus "total house ownership costs" wasn't this drastic (double), srs.

Mortgacels have until the 16th for their mortgage due dates, not the 1st, my man. They get over 2 extra weeks to get it done compared to rentcels.

Mortgacels also have a lot more leeway to be later than that, too. Most mortgage companies don't really start busting mortgacels' chops until they are like 2 months late, if it's their first offense.
