I notice zero difference between consuming 30g of protein vs 200g of protein

Fitness gurus saying you need 200g of protein daily to gain muscle, it's the biggest ****ing scam. I'm around 180 cm tall and 190 lbs at 13% bodyfat and how much protein I eat throughout the day makes zero difference for my gains. It's all about calories.

The people who say you need 200+ grams of protein are all roidheads. I would say 0.8g of protein per lb is just fine for the average person.

.7g/pound bodyweight seems to be the modern consensus. 30g/day wont work long term boyo.

100-150 grams a day is what's needed for most people, even natty light dosages.

You really don't need the 200g+ daily amounts unless you're eating a healthy amount of trainbalogna or dicka.

30g though? do you even lift brah?

I think it would depend on the timeframe. Are you only eating 30g of protein for a month to come to this conclusion? or just a couple days and then the third day you KFCmaxxed?

100g is too low but imo a 190lb natty wouldn't need to eat 190g of protein to see progress (following 1g per lb rule). Around 150-170g would be fine.

You don't need more than 70~80g of protein if you are natty. You guys are all brainwashed.

Protein is overrated but necessary. You don't need 200gs, but you do need a lot more than the dietary guidelines suggest. I weigh around 160 (manlet checking in) and haven't seen any difference between 110ish and 150+. My general rule of thumb is:

100-150g of protein/carbs
fill the rest in with fat depending on your goals

Totally plausible if you replaced carbs with extra protein since carbs make you hold more water.

Carbs are essential if you want to grow and be strong. Keto is garbage. So much bad advice ITT. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

I didn't say carbs are bad. He said he looked more vascular since increasing protein and I said if he reduced his carbs at the same time then that's the likely the reason.

True, but based on his post he went from low to sufficient protein intake.

I notice a HUGE difference if I don't get between .8g-1g/LEAN body weight. Especially if you do a crap ton of cardio as well as 3x week heavy gym sessions.

Gotta maintain a positive nitrogen balance.

Good video based on science

in my experiences, i sort of agree. you don't need 2 grams per lb of body weight or any bro science **** like that. you simply need enough to recover

Anything above 0.67g/lb of bw doesn’t do anything if you’re natty

I remember when I was young and believed the protein meme and would stuff myself with food like a glutton to hit my 200 grams like an absolute fat moron
