I actually have a set of Bonobos that are a few years old. They were GOAT and went by actual waist size number...now they just go by letter and only go to 5"

I actually am an OG Chubbie's connoisseur. Got the 'Mericas when they first came out...have about 6 pairs. I actually just ordered a couple pairs on their suits in the 4.5 and 5" (too long) and I'm in between in their sizing when it comes to quads/waist. Frustrating. I like their resort trunks with the snap button (my old Bonobos have that) and 4.5" inseam but the cut on them is retarded...the back is longer than the front..so I'm returning them.

But yea I'm looking for like "Chubbie" short inseam

Risking it on another chinese product. Could be great for my modest needs of running on1raw, watching movies and so on while travelling. The tablet I got from China was a scam product , but the projector was great - much better than a Philips I had.

Been a minute since I've visited the thread.

We picked up a new 2023 XC90 T8 Ultimate recharge for the wife. Her XC60 got hit and totaled the week she paid it off back in May so the insurance payout on it helped offset the cost of this one. Has everything but the air ride suspension. After driving one with and without air ride and the dealer not telling us which was which, we actually couldn't tell any difference. Inside and out is a huge upgrade in overall quality vs the XC60 and it gets right at 40 miles of EV range on the highway and about 30 in the city. Wife's daily commute is just shy of 20 miles so she just plugs in every evening and is good to go the next day. We've had to fill up gas once in the month we've had it and that was mainly because we made 2 200 mile road trips. I suspect with minimal travel outside her daily commute, we may see 2 or 3 months between fill ups.

Also grabbed an Apple Magic Mouse gen2 as I'm sick of the stuttering and lag on my MX Master 3S with my Mac's. Better touch tool really unlocks a ton of potential with the MM and I've always had a high claw grip anyways so the flat design doesn't bother me. Also, everyone in the reviews chit on the charging port being on the bottom but the thing is, you can plug it in and go take a leak and refill your drink and come back to another 6 hours of battery life added. Charging speed is other worldly and I'm on week 2 with the mouse and it's still at like 40% battery.

EGO fan cause it's hot as chit outside in Alabama and I've had a lot of work to do in the garage (mainly to make room for that larger SUV) and already have EGO batteries. Fan works great. Haven't tried the misting feature yet.

I'm semi-retiring my old Canon T2i I've been using for like over a decade now but still gonna hold onto it because it's still a great camera and I have a couple of nice Sigma lenses that take great pics and will probably end up letting one of my kids have it when they're older.

I got a Sony ZV-E10, the Sony 15mm F1.4 prime and the Sigma 18-50mm F2.4 lenses. So far I'm super impressed and it's small enough that it's a handy grab and go camera and it doesn't make me feel weird or draw attention when I take it around to baseball games and soccer games and stuff. It's just low-key enough to fly under the radar of the people around me.

Added a peak design strap and picked up their little wrist strap too which is WAY better than the generic canon strap I was using with the old Rebel.

Eh, it's not any different from the Mazda CX9 or XC60 she's had before. Waaayy better than my dad's new Yukon Denali.

We looked at a few other luxury SUV's though

BMW X5 - nice hybrid version but with matching options as the XC90 would have been 10 grand more and it didn't feel like 10 grand more when we went to look at one

Acura MDX Type S/A spec - better handling on both of these but not as much room and we didn't see a current production hybrid version which she really wanted

Lexus GX - Nice inside but felt like an absolute tank to drive and the front end on all the Lexus SUV's are hideous

Porsche Cayenne Hybrid - Also very nice but would have had to get poverty spec model to stay within our budget. My dad's wife has a Macan and it's too small.

We test drove a low mileage SQ7 and came really close to jumping on that but no hybrid was a dealbreaker for her. That twin turbo V8 was outstanding but she's not really too hung up on acceleration/performance. She's way more into practicality and getting her money's worth and not feeling like she over-payed.

The X5 hybrid would have been a great choice if buying CPO but we couldn't find any with the specs/options we wanted and we got that XC90 $10k off it's sticker price CPO and it only had maybe 1200 miles on it but even better, according to the dealer (which I backed up with a paid car report) it was bought and driven from Canada to California intended to be used as a company vehicle but the company got bought out and sold the car having only driven it a couple times.

Was going to purchase a Macan T or S depending on spec but wife wants me to buy a 4runner and keep for 5 years before giving to my daughter for her first car. So now I am looking at 4runners - wow at the markups and cost for a car with an outdated engine, interior and exterior. I did have a Tacoma a few years ago and pretty much got my money back when I sold it.

Oof. We had a 2019 4 runner srs from mid May till the first of this month and it was awful.

Zero acceleration, spongy weak brakes, poverty interior with low grade rental fleet quality plastic, sound system sucked, steering was ALWAYS requiring some corrective input and was really bad on the highway, etc.

We debated taking it back to enterprise just so we could downgrade to a mid size sedan but that’s all USAA would cover for us while her previous car was at the collision center getting the damage estimate.

Our 2019 xc60 T5 that was wrecked was significantly better in every imaginable way besides slightly less room in the back cargo area and ours didn’t have 4wd. Ours had 19k miles on it and was valued right at $30k which is a good 10k cheaper than what I was seeing those 4Runners go for. We really liked the xc60, hence sticking with the brand and similar platform. I would honestly recommend at least giving them a look. They also have the lane keep assist autopilot and it works really well. The 4 runner didn’t have that and it was sorely missed on our 8 hour (each way) trip to Charleston we took when we had it.

Xc60 got about 3-4 mpg highway better than the 4Runner too.

The only valid reason I can see the 4Runner being a good choice is if you want the looks of the thing and plan to spend more time off pavement than on it. The Volvo is 100% not an off-road vehicle but that’s probably assumed.

I did have a Tacoma a few years ago and pretty much got my money back when I sold it.
Most Toyotas aren't worth the mark up. People found out the secret that they are pretty good cars, now the prices are inflated across the board. If you want an old 2017 NX200t, they're almost 20k for 100k miles. My buddy put a rack on his 4 runner and with a bit of wind, it can't even shift to the top gear on the interstate. Bullet proof drive terrain sure, but like the other poster said, they don't make a lot of sense unless you plan to stay off road more than on.

Recently replaced my daughters totaled Jeep and looked at a lot of mid sized SUV's. We test drove a used '19 xc60 and I was really impressed with it. Kinda wish my wife would have looked at them before pulling the trigger on the Audi Q8. At the end of the day, it was way too much car for a 19 year old. Ended up picking a lease return Q3 (needed the AWD as she's in midwest at school).
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

They are only to tighten things. Under each is a "snap" to secure them.
