Masks actually did slow the spread of Covid-19

Results: A total of 6 studies were included, involving 4 countries, after a total of 5,178 eligible articles were searched in databases and references. In general, wearing a mask was associated with a significantly reduced risk of COVID-19 infection (OR = 0.38, 95% CI: 0.21-0.69, I2 = 54.1%). For the healthcare workers group, masks were shown to have a reduced risk of infection by nearly 70%. Sensitivity analysis showed that the results were robust.

Fun fact:

Over 80% of the population in the US has had Covid.

Even if masks slowed it down, who cares? It just means people eventually caught it somewhere else. We could have been out of this in 3 months if we had just left everything open and let it run its course.
