Nothing posted here solves or helps anything. It's just people arguing about whether it's okay to stereotype others or not. Obviously, stereotyping has been beneficial to people historically, or our minds would not have evolved to think within those patterns. The other questions are whether or not it is moral, and if doing what is best for you is always the right thing to do. Not worth debating on a health forum. Like I said earlier, please take this stuff to R&P or debate people IRL if it means that much to you.

The stats don't tell you why something happens. For that you need critical thinking skills and an analytical mind. There is an abundance of academic literature breaking down why that higher crime rate exists, and here's a hint: Has nothing to do with race.

The overall issue does go beyond that though.

An easy example being...if a certain group disproportionately engages in shyt behavior (criminal or otherwise) then is it so surprising that there is a disparity in outcomes (be it incarceration rates, household income, etc.)? Nope, we're just supposed to believe it's all due to "systemic racism" and implement a bunch of BS and ineffective policies to "address" that.

This is deeply intertwined with politics. To be clear, dependence on the state, broken families (men replaced by the gov), and corrupt politicians are a huge part of what causes all of this imo. But that's really an R&P thing, and it deserves a long, thoughtful thread there.

Some interesting info, but it doesn't surprise me at all that homicide will differ based on race even when looking at median income, because the fact is that even working class blacks tend to live in more impoverished areas than working class whites. It's the impact of the overall environment, not just family income.
