I do 10 minutes of intervals on a treadmill every time I hit the gym. Depending on the weather and season I'll jog to and from the gym as well. I think there's no harm in it, just helps you with a deficit, or to make up for some unhealthy dietary choices.
I guess going too hard can cause some knee/joint issues over a long run. And if you've heard of David Goggins story, he has pushed himself too far at marathons before, to the point of severe dehydration, toenails falling off, kidneys shutting down, pissing blood and needing to stay at a hospital.

Depending on intensity and duration, if you also lift heavy, it'll affect recovery.
Simple as that. Walking 30-min to an hour isn't cardio. Maintaining 150-160bpm for an hour or longer is cardio.

I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

You can definitely overtrain. I have when I was playing tennis and running.

2023 and can’t believe Misc 2012 bro science still in full effect
Look up Nick bare on YouTube. Guy runs 100m marathons and runs a chit ton while lifting and he’s yoked

Having a 5k run/swimming/bicycle etc daily is about the healthiest thing a human can do.
