Robot Ron calls MAGA Supporters "Listless Vessels"

RobotRon showing his true colors, as part of the Establishment. I knew this would happen once he started feeling the pressure. First we were deplorable, and now we are listless vessels.

https://floridapolitics.com/archives...tless-vessels/

Florida’s Governor is going on the offense against the former President — and his devoted supporters.

In an interview with the Florida Standard, Ron DeSantis is ripping Donald Trump backers as privileging personality over conservative purity.

“If all we are is listless vessels that are just supposed to follow, you know, whatever happens to come down the pike on Truth Social every morning, that’s not going to be a durable movement,” DeSantis said.

The Governor also rejects claims that he and others who buck the cult of “personality” around the former President are “RINOs.”

“And so you could be the most conservative person since sliced bread. Unless you’re kissing his rear end, they will somehow call you a RINO. So it’s been totally detached from principle in what you actually believe and results. And it’s more about, you know, just what faction you happen to do,” DeSantis said.

The Governor’s remarks prompted a quick response from Trump’s camp, in the form of a statement demanding DeSantis apologize.

“To Hillary Clinton, Trump supporters are ‘deplorables.’ To Ron DeSantis, they are ‘listless vessels.’ The truth is, Trump supporters are patriots,” said Karoline Leavitt, spokeswoman for Make America Great Again Inc.

“Ron DeSantis is showing his true colors. The pressure of polling in third place is getting to DeSantis and now he is lashing out at the very same voters who got him elected Governor. DeSantis must immediately apologize for his disgraceful insult.”

Others from the former President’s inner circle objected to the remarks, comparing the Governor to 2016 Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

“Looks like Ron DeSanctimonious just had his ‘Basket of Deplorables moment,” contended Jason Miller. “Not good!”

“DeSantis goes full-blown Hillary and calls MAGA supporters ‘Listless Vessels,’” Trump spox Steven Cheung added.

Why bother caring?

Voting is a scam and elections are kabuki theater.

Not sure why boyos are so insistent on playing along with this manufactured drama. This is a waste of time.

I tell you one thing for nothing, Ron isn't anywhere near as useless as Trump.

I can't wait to see trump get arrested in his underwear and put in the cop car in the middle of the night.

Trump and his remaining fanboys will do what he's always done, NOTHING

Another conservative retard who cant seem to get it into his head that the GOP has allowed the Dems to drive this country off a cliff. So worried about decorum that they have lost on every single social issue there is for the last 40 years, to the point that the country has changed demographically and they are basically a dead party that only exists for its donors.

Phuck him, and phuck anyone who votes for this turd in a federal election if he gets that far.

I say that as someone who lives in Florida, and loved him as a Gov.

I took negs from RobotRon enthusiasts like Lefticle, Trillical and LinuxJon.

I thought the neggars were mad that I called him Establishment, but it turns out they were mad that I figured out who RobotRon really stands for.

He's right lol. Trump supporters want to vote for Blumpf just because they love his personality. They might not admin that's the reason, but it is.

Why didn't you boldface this line? It's absolutely 100% spot on.

So it’s been totally detached from principle in what you actually believe and results. And it’s more about, you know, just what faction you happen to do,” DeSantis said.

Why does anyone even bother running against Trump? They stand literally zero chance of being the nominee.

So you think saying this is going to help his cause to appeal to that group? It is a rather large group and would be needed to win the (s)election.

Desantis' problem is that tried to out-Trump Trump. He should have stuck to what he knows and what made him universally loved in Florida. He and his former campaign manager got played by 45.

The Blumpfies are only going to support Blumpf, especially after the indictments. Nothing is going to change their mind, and playing nice nice with Blumpf isn't going to win them over.

Ron needed to go on the attack a long time ago. He has little to no chance now.

Internal polling showed nobody was close to Trump. If somebody was polling close, I think there would be a chance the Trump voters would vote in the general for that person. Going on the attack against the candidate that has overwhelming support of the voters was never a smart move, regardless of who is doing it.

Ron aligned himself with RINO groups and uniparty scum, then started attacking Trump, now making statements like this. He never had a chance in 2024 and has likely ruined future chances.

The attacks against him, the lack of any public support from the RNC, and the fact that he is crushing the other candidates...yeah, safe to say a lot of people will sit this election out if he ain't the nominee.

Ron DeSantis is intentionally alienating the MAGA crowd now?

This dude's political career is officially over. Dude should have stayed in Florida and held out for a Senate seat down the road. Dude probably could have even gotten rid of term limits for governor in Florida and gotten a 3rd term in 2026.

But on the national stage, the dude has all the charisma of a wet blanket. He looks like a 70 year old Ric Flair making a fool out of himself out there.

Blumpf was extremely politically wounded after he flubbed the midterms. DeSantis was almost caught up to him in the polls, but then the indictments happened and Blumpfs support shot up due Republican primary voters digging in their heels because of it.

You say Ron is aligning himself with RINO's, yet Blumpf is happily accepting the king neocon RINO Lindsay Grahams endorsement and is parading him around at rallies and was endorsing Mitt Romney and Mitch McConnell etc when he was president. Sounds like Ron was right in saying that the Blumpfies will say you're a RINO if you do anything but kiss his azz.

Ron made the same mistake the Dems did when it comes to Trump: not letting him term out. Should have sat this one out and ran in 28'.

Although I'm more inclined now to think that's what the Dems truly want. Trump has been a godsend to their psychotic militants. He gets them as fired up as the MAGA crowd.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

What do you mean? DeSantis got popular in Florida by acting like Trump. There is nothing original about DeSantis's campaign, except it's showing that trying to run against the master of MAGA as the heir apparent to MAGA was stupid.
