The Panama Canal is Running Out of Water!!!!
Focus: Historic drought, hot seas slow Panama Canal shipping:
https://www.reuters.com/business/env...ng-2023-08-21/
OF COURSE,The restrictions already are sending China-U.S. spot shipping prices up as much as 36%
The Panama Canal Authority has reduced maximum ship weights and daily ship crossings in a bidto conserve water. Maritime transportation experts fear such events could become thenew normalas rainfall deficits in the world's fifth-wettest country spotlight climate risks affecting the ocean shipping industry that moves 80% of global trade.
BUT
According to and AP article published in 2019,Paton (who heads the long-term climate monitoring program at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute,) forecast that the canal has enough water to last at least 18 years, although if extreme climate patterns persist, water could reach precariously low levels within 15 years.
https://apnews.com/article/f0ab0672c...ced4a648c48d88
Last I checked, it's not 2034, but the media and the democrats are moving up the timeline on such things to keep the train rolling in a coordinated effort to move their bogus agendas forward.

Regardless, the canal is a huge investment, probably with decisions made on a 100 year outlook, so 15-20 years is nothing. Billions were spent on the new locks to include water conservation measures because the whole thing will be worthless without the lake above to feed it.

Maybe I'm a half tard since I don't know how canals work, but couldn't ocean water be directed into the canal? Seems like an artificial reservoir and dam project that wouldn't take that long.

Again, the point being, why is the media claiming the canal is drying up in 2023, when projections in 2019 were far beyond this point. Who's limiting water in the canal and why? Put it all together and it makes perfect sense.

Again the point being, if the canal had enough water to run 15-18 years from 2019, and has apparently dried up, one doesn't have to look very far to understand an agenda is at play.

Over 25K workers died during its construction, most of them when the French tried to build it before we took over.

You really want meaningful climate change, then go after the biggest polluters; China, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Iran, etc. Until they do their part, no amount of "green" anything will make any meaningful changes to the global environment.

There's a climate change industry setup currently to ONLY reward climate alarmists. Throw in corrupt politicians and media and you have what we have today, chaos.

Not that it's relevant but I manned a twin .50 cal deck mounted machine gun for many hours while traveling though the canal. Set my camera up on a tripod with a 30 second timer and made a stop motion slide show of both sets of locks.
