What are your thoughts on unrealistic vs realistic beauty media standards (no hate)

Do you think that “unrealistic” are better or worse than normal standards for media outlets to use?

When I say this I’m meaning unrealistic stands as super models, giga chads, glamour models that are airbrushed as opposed to using realistic standards achievable natty brahs, girl next door, average joe.

Do you think that unrealistic standards in media give people something to strife towards an achieving and set a good example of what you can be if you truly push yourself as opposed to half assing life?

Or

Do you think realistic standards are better in media because they’re more relatable to people and make people feel more comfortable about who they are and how they look?

No hate - is discussion.

The frame of the question is off OP.
There arent beauty standard. What is beautiful as in trult deemed beautiful is inherently instilled within us. Everyone knows beauty when they see it.

You mean beauty fashions and trends.
As for medias 'unrealistic' representations.... learn to not give af. Its just marketing for the smooth brains. Unrealistic gets attention and insecure people are the easiest to sell too and manipulate.
