Realized that locking out completely on bench press stimulates my chest more

Been avoiding full lockout to maintain tension in my chest throughout my sets but realized I actually feel it more when I fully lockout and squeeze my chest at the top.

Anyone else feel the same?

It’s probably not bad to do both, but I’m not sure why someone would exclusively train only half reps without going to lockout. Not sure anyone does that except you, actually.

You clearly don't have much experience with lifting then.

I would never lockout; you're just inviting elbow pain.

Seems like Cbum fully extends during his exercises for the most part.

Flat Bench press is one of the least effective exercises for Chest.

i would contract the chest and hold it( muscle tension) but not the joints.
practice chest flexing in the mirror, simulate the exercise.

Probably pretty decent for gaining overall mass since you can move the heaviest weight.
