If the world is getting warmer then we would set new records every consecutive year all over the world, not just a few select cities.

But I'm sure politicians will impose more carbon taxes and retards like OP will gladly pay more climate tax to help combat this.

Things are happening that we knew would happen because we've been predicting this for decades.

Every year, we get a bunch of articles claiming hottest day or week on record. And every year, oil entities push climate change denial narratives and pay conservative politicians to ensure their safety and another year of greed and cronyism.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.

Milankovitch cycles don't explain warming of several degrees within the space of a couple hundred years. Changes in Earth's orbit around the sun operate on scales of tens to a hundred thousand years, and explain long term changes in climate. Change at this rate does not happen naturally in Earth's history even during climate shocks like the shift from glacial to interglacial periods.

There's also the observation that TSI has decreased slightly in the past half Century or so, while warming has continued to accelerate. Almost like atmospheric physicists are capable of taking the sun into account:

The way I look at it, is there is no way we can change the damage already done and reverse course. Whatever level we are at is the way things are going to be moving forward. The minute amount of changes we make as a species, especially because there are billions of people on the planet who DGAF doesn't matter.

So we develop technology to make sure we can still create food, have water and develop strategies to deal with massive weather events. My city in Canada has suddenly gone from having one tornado in the last five years to three already so far this summer, which is unheard of but apparently could be the new normal. So get a generator and if you see one coming, stock up and make sure you have insurance. It's not like you're going to stop it.

There are technical disagreements in niche aspects of specific fields that come under the broad umbrella of climate science. There is no disagreement in the discipline that the climate is warming rapidly and that human activity is the primary cause of this warming trend. It's just retarded boomer uncles on ******** still trying to pretend that isn't happening.

How we address climate change, and what the cost/benefit ideal scenario is, is more complex. But generally the wealth of these kind of economics-incorporated analyses find that limiting temp increase to as close to 2 degrees or so pre-industrial hits the correct balance, is a net benefit both economically and in human welfare (mortality etc). 1.5 degrees is almost unquestionably impossible and likely will require net harm.

Good news is the action we have already taken in limiting CO2 and the number of countries that have switched sizeable chunks of their energy generation to renewables or the interim of natural gas has meant we are almost guaranteed to avoid the disastrous 4-5 degrees or more scenarios where the negative effects are colossal. And the exponential rise of renewables (provided it continues) means we may be pretty close to hitting net zero by 2050, which would keep temp rises fairly close to the optimal.

The current record highs can be attributed to water vapor, the true hardcore GHG.

You see, a massive volcano erupted in the ocean off of Tonga. Millions of gallons of water/steam were pushed into the atmosphere and increased water vapor by 5%. That's huge. Even NOAA has stated that this eruption will increase temps, and they are known for their activist positions.

Bad news is, it's gonna take a couple of years for water vapor to normalize.

What, does your climate change rising ocean not apply to that particular rock? Help me out here with dat dere superior climate knowledge.

Sea levels are rising at an extraordinary pace. Here's what to know.

A single photo of a rock (which has been broken and moved many times) at one point in the tide doesn't tell you anything about anything. When the tide is high, the rock is often submerged.

What can give you info about sea levels is actually measuring sea levels, which for the surrounding Boston area:
The tide gauge at Boston has recorded an average rise of 2.89 mm/year since 1921 (28.9cm or 0.95 feet over that time), while to the south at Woods Hole, MA, a tide gauge records a rise of 2.98 mm/year on average since 1932 (26.5cm or 0.87 feet)
You don't have to have any knowledge of climate science to know that a static photo of one rock isn't going to tell you anything about a long term trend. You just need to have an IQ greater than that of the average livestock, which of course, you don't.

That said, if anyone here needs advice on sneezing out crayons, you will be one of the first people to call.

LMFAO!!!

I KNEW you were going to blame it on the fuking tide lol. No shiit it's underwater when the tide comes in you simple minded fuk. What happens when the tide goes back OUT though? (because anybody that has ever been to the beach can tell you that yeah, it kinda does that) Anybody..? Bueller? Bueller...?

In this thread we learn that rising tide = climate change!
