For anyone planning to stream DSTs, the Cardinals are definitely the team to target. They cut Colt McCoy today, leaving Josh Dobbs, who they traded for this weekend, and rookie Clayton Tune as the only QBs on the roster to start the year. They start against Washington, so go get them in the draft. This is their early schedule:

@Wash
NYG
Dal
@SF
Cin
@LAR
@Sea

Dallas, SF, and Cin are all likely to be drafted, but if you're looking to stream, try to stash some of the others, especially Wash or NYG.

I doubt Kyler is going to come back this year to a team that is actively tanking for his replacement. LOL.

If I was anywhere but the middle of the first, I wouldn't be able to count on Kelce falling or Mahomes still being there in the second (unless it's in a less passing-friendly league where no QB is worth a <4th pick, like 4pt TDs or 0.02 per passing yard / pt per 50).

I've never been a huge Eli Moore fan, but in the 13th, he fell 3 or 4 rounds past where I expected him to go, so the value is there. Supposedly, he's put in a lot of work with Deshaun in the offseason, but the Browns were a trainwreck in the preseason, so I guess that spooked some people. JK should ball out because it's his contract year. He was my best choice for keeper either way, so I didn't have a choice with him.
Been talk about browns uses Moore in that trendy hybrid role, like a really ****ty deebo. Def worth the flyer. Grabbed him in at least one league.

I really hate snake drafts in general for this reason.

I pick 12th in my big money league drafting tomorrow. Hate my options in first 4 rounds. I've been 0 rb since b4 it was cool, but at 12/13 I almost have to go rb/rb.

Ok found out that as champion of my other league I won last year I’m drafting first (worst position to draft from IMO).

What are your opinions on the chase/jj argument? Find myself leaning heavily JJ, what say you?

Definitely JJ for me if I have to choose, although Chase is obviously a stud as well, so I'd be happy with either one.

It depends on what happens at the top of your draft. There are WRs like AJ Brown, ARSB, Davante Adams, and even possibly Garrett Wilson or CeeDee Lamb if they fall that I'd be perfectly fine taking at the 12-13 turn, although I really like Nick Chubb this year, so I wouldn't go WR-WR if he's still on the board. If the PPR draft I just did, even Kupp and Diggs were there at 12-13 since round 1 was so RB heavy. If those guys are on the board, that's a great way to start.

There will be backs available as the round 3-4 turn like Aaron Jones & Joe Mixon or Najee, Breece, or Taylor if they fall. Starting a team with Garrett Wilson, AJ Brown, Jones, and Mixon is a great start, IMO.

My somewhat realistic dream start would be chubb/pollard, then I'd grab wr with my next 4 picks in all likelihood.

If neither of those RBs available, I'd probably go st brown and Wilson. Just sucks cause guys who pick 8th have an option to grab same tier wrs in that 2nd round, while a whole tier up in first

Think the disadvantage is even greater in that 3rd round.

Luckily it's the most donkey league I play in, while being the most expensive. My team sucked last year after the draft and I was able to finish 2nd anyway.

As a bears fan, I'll never draft a packer. So no AJones.

We shall see, draft tonight in person.

Had my first draft last night 12 man, .5 PPR, picked 5th. I like it, but what do you all think?

QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB: Josh Jacobs, Aaron Jones, Miles Sanders, Brian Robinson, Eli Mitchell, Raheem Mostert
WR: Keenan Allen, DJ Moore, George Pickens, Marquise Brown, Romeo Doubs
TE: Kelce
Def: Green Bay
Kicker: Harrison Butker

Good luck. In person drafts are better. This league I drafted the other night used to be in-person where we'd have to call out picks and actually track who's been taken. We obviously went online for Covid, but no one wants to travel or commit to several hours at someone else's house to do it in-person again. The commissioner/host offered to be in-person again this year (even in-person while we enter picks online so that you don't have to cross names off a sheet...), but only 4 of us came (and one was his son who lives there, too, LOL) and the rest just stayed online.

I feel the same way about Patriots. I'm a Steelers fan, but I will never forgive the Cheatriots for frauding six Super Bowls. Once Belichick is gone (and now that Brady is gone), I'll be less antagonistic about it. I'd prefer Kraft go, too, but he won't...

I think it looks really solid. Rodgers is the only pick I don't like.

i imagine you went kelce at 5 and got a nice break on jacobs. i'm surprised he's still going that late now that he signed.

fan of your RB depth. sanders and brian are both useful players right out the gate. eli mitchell can win you games if something happens to mccaff.

i've posted my thoughts on pickens being an awesome player to watch but doesn't get the volume. but he's not even starting on this lineup so as your backup he's fine. marquise might be a money pick with how bad that team will be. gotta throw it somewhere in arizona.

I could have taken DeSean Watson at that pick instead of Rodgers, or waited a bit longer and taken Russel Wilson or a younger unproven guy like Richardson or Love, but I'm a GB homer and believe Rodgers will come out on fire this year playing with a chip on his shoulder (I also feel this will be the last year Rodgers puts up a decent stat line).

Correct on Kelce first and then Jacobs. I like Pickens, but just missed out on McClaurin and Hopkins who went right before I picked him.

don't get me wrong i liked him too, i'd take him again but i don't like his price right now. Diontae Johnson is only 26 and has averaged over 150 targets per year the last 3 years. it's hard to imagine pickens suddenly becoming the WR1 on his own team.

LY pickens had 84 targets. he just seems like more of a splash player to me and you might not get much out of him consistently vs the occasional big game.

Jacobs still has pretty significant risk of soft tissue injury and stuff like that from not having a training camp. I don't have him all the way to where he would be if he just signed the tag and reported on time. I would start to look for him right around where sand got him.

Yeah, we definitely disagree on Pickens. I think he is primed for a huge breakout this year. Last year, he was coming off an ACL as a rookie and was eased in. There is a line of thinking in the stat nerd community that Pickens can't run routes or get open because of some ridiculous separation stat that basically measured the 80 go routes he ran last year. It's a bunch of BS. Pickens has had an expanded route tree in his second year and has been creating separation just fine in the limited preseason action he saw, and with Pickett more confident and willing to push the ball downfield in his second season, I see Pickens as a primary beneficiary. DJ is still a good possession receiver, and Freiermuth is an option in the middle of the field, but Pickens is the weapon they have.

i see that, but unfortunately he's actually being drafted a few picks (ADP) ahead of Diontae. that just doesn't make sense to me. i'd rather wait and get the guy who has 150 targets per year vs. paying for the hype of pickens.

Dionte had a historic year last season in terms of targets without a TD, so he has to progress back up to those TD numbers you’d think too.

Pittsburgh pass catchers could all be viable fantasy options this year

Depends on your definition of "all". I think DJ and Pickens should both be in or around the top 20, and Freiermuth should be a viable low end TE1 if you save TE for late in drafts, but beyond that, no. I would advise against adding Allen Robinson, who was signed mostly to be a blocker and veteran in the room, or Calvin Austin, who might have some appeal as a bench stash / late round flier in dynasty or best-ball but won't get enough volume for season-long teams, or someone like Darnell Washington.

Yeah I should have specified only the top two WRs and TE

The Pats cut every QB on their roster except Mac. WTF? The NFL gives everyone a free spot on the active roster for a third QB and the Pats respond by going with just one?!?

LOL. I think they're waiting for Brian Hoyer to get cut from the Raiders after O'Connell's preseason.

Looks like the JT chitshow is in full swing. Fading him but peppered to get owned if he comes back after 4 weeks and puts up high end RB1 numbers.

Taylor is pretty much the main reason I debated/fought the rest of the league to push the draft to next Tuesday. this was a tough year for stuff like this with him, Jacobs, Saquon. I can't draft with huge unknowns like that.

What's everyones vibe with the JT situation? Do you think he will play even after 4 weeks? Seems intent on a trade but colts playing hardball.

Hull and Moss still available in my league but not Jackson. Pick up Hull?

Yeah my league usually drafts 2-3 weeks prior which sucks. It’s hard to get everyone together so I kind of get it. But after the commish getting boned with Bell 5 years ago you would think he’d put an end to that.

My friends and family league drafted last night, weird league as people always draft multiple QB's and TE's early so I always wait on those and take whatever scraps are available while I target WR's and RB's who fall. Don't hate this team, but don't like them as much as the one I posted yesterday either. League is 12 man, .5 PPR, and I picked 6th. Hopefully I can trade some of my WR depth for a decent TE or something.

QB: Tua
WR: Davante Adams, Keenan Allen, DJ Moore, George Pickens, Jordan Addison, Nico Collins, Jameson Williams (was my last pick)
RB: Austin Eckler, Aaron Jones, James Conner, Brain Robinson
TE: Dalton Schultz
K: Jake Elliott
Def: Green Bay

Week 1 are you guys building rosters with the idea that the flex slot will be held by a WR? Obviously as the season goes injuries and bye weeks make this influx, but in PPR is it best to strive to have a WR at flex if at all possible?

I prefer it, but it depends. In one league I'm in, there are 3 WR, 2 RB, and a flex. Having 3 starting WR spots brings more RBs into the flex conversation. If you have 2 WR, 2 RB, and a flex in PPR, then you should probably have a WR in the flex.
