As much as balding sucks it’s also one of those blessing in disguise kind of things. It brings you up close and personal with just how insecure you are about your looks, and you can take one of two paths at that point: 1) do everything in your power to get your hair back, or 2) recognise your obsession with your appearance and work on reducing it.

It’s good to care about how you look, but it’s something that needs to be brought into balance. It also needs to wane as you get older, as your looks will naturally deteriorate.

Caring about your looks becomes a tragic, crippling thing when taken too far.

Looks are generally an extension of health, so it’s probably best to cultivate a mindset of caring more about one’s health than looks.
