After you get used to having an RO syetem in your home, there's no turning back. I can't even drink tap water sparingly outside of the home anymore, I'm so used to it. I can barely stand it even when others use it to make pots of coffee, as I swear I can taste the chlorine and other gross chemicals in it.
American tap water is great for cleaning, showering, and prepping water for more intense purification methods. It's not great for directly drinking or using in cooking. I don't at least use a Brita filter or something at home, but those do maybe 1/4th of what an RO system does.

I really don’t give a solitary fuk even after seeing that pic, I will still drink tap water

Actual spring water > filtered tap > bottled “spring water”
I dont want all those xeno estrogens and microplastics in my water
Also, pipes look like that because tap water is alkaline. They keep it alkaline so that things deposit FROM the water INTO the sides of the pipe. The alternative is the pipes leaking into the water and having clean pipes
I use a berkey filter + flouride attachment and pour that into a water pitcher and keep it in the fridge. Just so happens that my water pitcher is a zero water filter. It filters out different things vs my berkey

Or just get an RO system for a couple hundred bucks and be done with it.

Spring water is just tap water labeled incorrectly to intentionally be deceiving.
If it meets the regulations for being legally consumable, they are just bottling it and sending it out.

I primarily drink bottled water at home, but at work I refill using the water fountain because I used to come to work with a backpack full of 6 bottles for the day, but then this liberal woman complained that it was bad for the environment.

I have Pex inside and my well has 1 inch black plastic going down 160'. None of my pipes ever looked like that. Of course, I have a lot of iron in it but green sand filter, fridge filter, etc. My water tastes like sweat drippin straight from Angie Verona's tits.

My house has clear pex pipes, and they're still the same after 20 years. Clean. My fridge has a filter which I replace every 6 months, so we drink water, make wine and fill coffee pots with the filtered fridge water.
Tap water, groce.
