People who only own and play one console

How do you live like that?

I can understand if you are a casual gamer. Like really casual. Like less than a few hours a week of gaming, maybe a once a week gamer. It takes you weeks/months to beat a game

But for people who really enjoy games, and play idk 10+ hours a week, the kind of person who plays an hour or two every day after work. You can beat a game in a weekend sitting or within a few days.

How can you possibly be satisfied with one system? I don't feel like there's remotely enough good content on one system alone to be satisfied as a gamer.

It genuinely blows my mind that someone could own a ps5/xbox/Nintendo as their lone system and actually call themselves a 'gamer'. I don't like to gatekeep what being a gamer is, but to an extent I do believe that.

There's no way you aren't ****in bored owning only one system if you actually put in hours playing games.

Basically this is a call out to all the fanboys who refuse to get their rival console.... Why cut yourself off from the opportunity to play more games?

I think pc is generally an exception to this since everything comes to pc eventually and it's got the biggest library and ability to play older games.

But even so, I have a top end pc, and I have both (ps5/xsx) consoles for the odd times there's stuff on there that interests me.

Pretty much the whole Xbox catalog is available on gamepass so no need for that. And I don't care about ps exclusives or anything made by Nintendo.

I been a gamer for most of my life and I see no reason to own a xbox or Nintendo switch when the Playstation/PC master race combo exists.

They’re self conscious about it. They are afraid what other people who aren’t gamers might think about them.

The Big Deathstroke says it doesn’t matter what other’s especially non gamers who don’t “get it” think!

I play approximately 18 hours per day, have one console, and still have a huge backlog, tons of games I want to get to buy don't and won't.

I honestly don't know how people have more than one console, unless you are only play the top 1 or 2 games on each system per year.

A Sony console has far more playable games than on Xbox. It just happens that you don't like those kinds of games, you only play multiplayer games.

I play about 3 hrs mostly daily and that's quite excessive. I still have a giant backlog of things to play. And it will always be like this because fun games come out faster than I can play them. Plus let's not forget the huge catalog of older games from PS4 as well as previous gens which you can unlock via ps+

How would you know Sony has far more games if you don't have an Xbox or a gamepass sub?

I think the same can be applied to you, Xbox has tons of games, you just don't like them

i don't get it either.

as a kid i understand, likely your parents would buy you one console and thats that. so you had to pick a side and defend it to death

but ya'll motha ****as are adults with adult money, talking about PS5 + PC is masterrace, but then mad because starfield is PC and xbox only, so obviously you don't have a PC.

I like nintendo's quality and finished game releases, so i buy nintendo console

I like sony's first party games, like god of war, spiderman... so I buy the ps5

I like xbox's exclusives being released on PC, I have a gaming PC already so I am happy.. I essentially own all and never salty.

Easy. There are 3rd party games that both consoles get and then there are 1st party titles that make up the difference. The Playstation brand has made far more 1st party blockbuster games than Xbox. If I'm wrong feel free to correct me but it seems Starfield has been MS's first quality game since the gen started. And before Starfield, what was their last major title? I'm dying to know.

I've always had a main console, and a handheld. Past few gens I eventually end up with the main platforms, barring the Wii U. The order in which I get them changes.

I usually hand Nintendo first, and got the 360 before ps3, and one before ps4.

When I noticed most of the new things I wanted to play were ps exclusives, I decided to switch up and go PS5. The Series X was a birthday gift.
I'm back, bitches!

I think you aren't that different from me. I prefer mp titles. You prefer sp titles that are very cinematic.

That doesn't mean there isn't plenty of great games to play on both platforms. You limit yourself to blockbuster games just as I might limit myself to mp. There's tons of smaller less known games that are phenominal. You just only want aaa big budget. Which is fine, but I guess I just don't get why limit yourself. Yeah I'm an fpscel down to my core, but I still like to try other chit, and I have every platform to do it on.

ps5 and xbox are so close and have so many of the same games its not really worth it to have two consoles, there are hardly any exclusives anymore and most of everything is on PC too now.

Its not like Ps1 vs N64 or genesis vs SNES where there were some big differences in games and most werent on PC.

I could see having a switch and having one of the big consoles.

Honestly the only thing that made me 100% decided on PS5 over xbox was because I had a ps4 and a bunch of digital games that transfer over. Otherwise i woudl just get whatever is the best price. I dont really care about Gran Turismo or their 1 or 2 exclusives that much. I dont care about Halo either.

You say I'm limiting myself and I know you hate when I ask but can you give examples of amazing Xbox games I'm missing out on? I'll say it again. Most games are on both consoles. The only difference is 1st party software which Sony delivers far more of than MS.

Between traveling, girls, books, gym, martial arts, work, I have no time to game as I did 20 years ago. Even with 1 system, I have a huge backlog, as long as my cock. Getting 2 is too much. And what am I really missing that I don't have an Xbox?

I mean I have a switch as a handheld and a ps5 and ps4

But yeah I bought Diablo 4 and probably only played 6 hours

Only done like 10 hours of ff16. Hogwarts got like 20 hours out of me

And in between I go weeks without playing a game. Might only play my switch while waiting for an oil change or on an airplane or something.

But I’ve spent literally 6-10% of my life playing games, had a hwl WoW character with over 1 year /played by the first expansion and tons of time spent doing it.

Just cuz I’m busy with family and other hobbies and all the stuff in life doesn’t mean I won’t end up going back to some serious gaming at other points. But burn out and other priorities happen and I still like to casually dabble when I have time.

there simply aren't enough games on other consoles that interest me to justify paying the money for another console. the only games that interest me are forza, hi fi rush, and maybe starfield. yet, there are games i havent played on my ps5 yet that i am more interested in than these three games. there's also the time factor. between work, sports, socializing, and family, i dont have enough time to game as much as i'd like to (hence the large backlog i have on only one console).

for context: up until 3 months ago, i only had a ps5 (and before that, only a ps4). then i bought a switch, which ive barely played, so i might as well still have one console. last time i owned multiple consoles was back in high school when i had the 360, ps3, and wii. i actually play more single player games now on my ps5 than when i had 3 consoles.

I play on 1 console. At the moment that is (still) the PlayStation 4. I like action games, but I play different genres. I'm attached to this console, and there are still plenty of games to finish and games to buy.
