Poll: 12% of people still wear COVID masks in public

Yahoo/YouGov poll: 12% still wear masks.

That's down from 27% from Jan 2023 and 60% in Jan 2022. But I won’t lie: I’m a bit surprised to see 12%. I figured it would be more like 5% by now. People are attending sold out concerts and sporting events in big arenas; people are going to movie theaters; people are sitting in public transit during rush hour etc. It just feels like more people have moved on, but maybe not …

Sillie , Patty, Benny, JLC, Bodhy, Wincel, either are still wearing them or plan to in about a month. They also plan on getting the booster shot, and Biden's new vaccine when it comes out, plus the flu shot and RSV shot......

Also, these people still masking up, they also claim to care about the environment.

i always felt cucked for wearing it when visiting family in hospitals (non covid) or getting my eyes or teeth checked. The second it wasn't required i was like 1 out of every100 people at Costco who wasn't wearing one. I always thought some woke Karen or ken were just waiting to confront me. I wish they would have.

Probably depends where you live. I'm in Florida and honestly haven't seen one in at least a year.

But if you live in California, probably 1/3 of people are wearing them. Which then skews my 0% area.

i seem to have a summer cold at the moment. Two COVID tests came back inconclusive. Nothing free is good. More tests ordered. I'm not much of a believer that masks help but for many it has a psychological effect. Wearing a mask seems to be expected when showing cold symptoms. Hopefully this will pass soon and I won't need to throw on a mask while at the store.

I healed after a day. My immune system is fine. In fact it's in overdrive. That's why I am still coughing. Gonna take a while to stop the cough. Must be liberal utopias driving the numbers up, because around here it’s probably about 1%. And that’s even with the current increase. Used to be practically 0% here for a long time. Feels good to live in a based state.
