Are there any majority white areas of greater Toronto?
Last time I was in Toronto briefly it seemed it was no joke about 10% white.
NYC, as diverse as it is, has tons of very white neighborhoods. If you live in Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo, Upper East Side, Upper west, Soho, Tribeca etc, and then commute to your job in midtown, you realistically never leave a neighborhood thats below 70% white (srs).
Most the people I work with live in a such a neighborhood, hang out in one, and work in one. It's a literally white enclave in NYC.
Does such a thing exist in Toronto? White's do not really venture in bronx, diverse areas of Queens and Brooklyn, nor go above 86th st in manhattan that often. In a weird way, NYC doesnt feel diverse to me because I rarely go to those areas.

for example, even a poor post grads in nYC will live with roommates in east/west village/soho/fidi and work in a mostly white midtown area (full of workers like themselves)., only time they really interact with minorities is riding the subway.

I think Toronto is just mostly integrated. In New York you have ethnic enclaves (less than in the past, but still). American cities in general are segregated. In Toronto I noticed Whites, Asians and Indians all living alongside each other even deep in the suburbs.
