It's the only logical explanation.
Most people love to live in this modern tech era rather than the stone age that you're thinking of. I can't imagine living without the super tech high technology and the WEALTH(now everybody can afford so much stuff now) and all the amazing internet contents. I think you're just angry at this modern era because you're a failure and poor and insecure.

I can agree with that. It certainly has its uses, it is fascinating to me. I love reading about advancements in technology. My career is based around it. I just don't think there's a balance at all, read above. People now live lives completely engulfed in technology and use/abuse it to do the simplest of tasks that you really should be doing just for the sake of some quality of life. E.g, buying a shirt or food, buying music/cinema tickets or anything. Sure it is convenient to do it all online, but where is the spice/mystery to it/act of leaving your house to have some healthy human interaction? How do you expect to grow a circle/meet future buddies if you never even bother to do it. Having everything at your fingertips, the Internet to guide you through life instead of finding out about things on your own. It's all changed. Just look at any footage of people living before 2011, it was all so natural and normal. Insane energy and it was always an adventure.

The effect it has had on people is beyond catastrophic. Wherever you go people dress/look the same. Crossing many lines in which men/women should stay in their lanes is all gone now. It is a cycle of moving from screen to screen everyday. Being on a phone, tv, videogame, a job at work behind a screen. We are talking like 14+ hours a day as the norm. Being on a screen for 2 hours in the era before 2008 would have been a LOT and not ideal for a lifestyle. You just won't understand. People now fall into a trap of following some extreme bullcrap online thinking that's their new way of life. They see a community where everyone is agreeing and patting eachother on the backs thinking they're automatically right. There's just no cognitive function anymore and no adult decision making going on. Just nonstop braindead actions all day, scrolling on social media, keeping earphones in all day, claiming to have like 40 different illnesses, being so isolated that they now think that their tech filled lifestyle isn't the problem and that everyone else is insane as they stare at the ground and grunt. Going on to be really extreme in the things they say and get paper thin skin because they never had any real life experience/beatings since they played on a screen all day. Only to go on and get teary eyed over the dumbest of things and end up ruining everything on TV/anything that may be offensive because they are outcast freaks and can't function/get a handle on their lives that they spent years ruining. Heaps of people are like this. So argumentative and weird over nothing. As they look in the mirror they should really be thinking what the heck am I doing, but they don't. 20 years ago they'd get beat up for raising their voice like squeamish little mice and for simply being ridiculous.

A relationship isn't even normal. Just 2 people on phones staring at nothing, super awkward and barely talking at a restaurant. Relating over social media or something on a screen. Seeing a family at restaruant with their kids on some £700+ devices all at the same time along with the parents, barely even eating and not even talking. No fun or happiness. No silly fun making paper airplanes or throwing food/kicking eachother. No devious minds tripping up waiters or stealing food/running around in circles. No parents tearing their hair out waiting to issue punishments. No offering of a rose or some romantic gesture. No interesting conversations. Just braindead screen watching. That was just a restaruant, there's like 100+ different scenarios man. It is nowhere near how I was brought up or how anyone once was before 2011. We were all so full of life and were bursting with laughter like 24/7. We made friends with basically everyone we met when we went out. Everyone just had this mutual laid back understanding of life where there was no awkward intermissions and "stranger danger" was getting less and less until the past maybe 10 years. It was perfection. It used to be perfection.

In my world everyone is weird because I've observed and watched this all unfold over a long time. I go about my day as normal, I simply never changed since the 2000s world was just 2nd nature so I am the reference point of sorts.

Obama was a massive leap forward for the marxists on the long march through the institutions
he told the theatre kids they were actually the cool kids

trump never said it explicitly, but his ascension was a reminder that they were not in fact the cool kids and never were
ispo facto we have trump derangement syndrome

I'll be honest, I don't understand any of the responses I've gotten in this thread. Like I just don't get what I'm reading, people just don't talk like this. These people sound like the typical outcasts itching to just say something.

Man, my old circle of online lifters in 2019-2020/2021ish I used to talk about stuff with at a rate have gone, that sucks, haven't used this site in ages, don't recognise anyone other than the blissful guy. Just thought I'd see what would happen. Never thought I'd have a discussion so slow like this completely missing all the points/talking extreme weird stuff in response to my post about culture and life before 2011. As usual nobody doing any lifting and commenting about stuff as if they lift and look good. That's the only reason why I used to talk so much on here, usually lifters are stronger more solid guys with logical stuff to say since they should have a stable life as they are evidently ripped in their avatars. But now I've somehow got heaps of people who don't lift on this site, could find this meaningless discussion anywhere else and I wouldn't care about opinions of the very people I hate LOL. Weird how even the last 3 years have changed.

The world started changing in the 1960s (propaganda and politics), the change started accelerating in the 1990s (propaganda and politics). The major more recent landscape of the world started changing in 2012 (technology), accelerated in 2015/2016 (propaganda and politics) than a major change in 2020 (propaganda and politics).

I remember OP and EOD had a 10 page thread going with just the 2 of them.

It’s so odd that EOD would leave the Misc for Reddit.

Because an entire generation wasn't brainwashed fully at that time. WE have a generation now that is raised by the internet and we're starting to see the horrors of that.

Yeah, we did that a ton of times. Around 3000+ of my posts are to that guy over the course of years, we had the most interesting conversations and he somehow spoke/thought exactly like me. Like 70% of the posts are deleted/wiped since it was mostly written before 2021 when this site deleted a lot of stuff. I am not sure what happened to him.

I think he has been on reddit for years. Heck, we both have accounts on other forum sites. Just stopped using the Internet I guess, I stopped paying for internet in January and my house has been offline since then, maybe he did the same, no idea. The stuff I type about from all those separate instances is basically how my life goes, not some random thoughts to kill time. Stuff isn't the same from even 3 years ago let alone the 11+ year time frame that was always mentioned.

It's so strange to me. You'd think they'd be an unstoppable force having all of this information in their back pockets, but no they somehow managed to **** it all up. The youth of today just don't do anything and you can't even say the cliche "lazy awkward teenager" when now it is not the case. Being a hormonal little **** was a thing of the past where you'd see a teenager actively going out of his way to cause carnage/light **** on fire and stuff. Punching a wall, staying out late and just being a "slacker" on the couch eating cereal and muttering. That was normal teen behaviour for all teens. Just bonehead approaches to stuff like putting fries up your nose or seat belting someone. Me and my brother were the most active people on earth. We went mountain biking, swimming, hit the gym, built forts, play fights in the street, built bike jumps, played in the park all day, played on the xbox, had a sleepover all in 1 day. Everyday was nuts. We were fueled on sugar, went trick or treating in the summer and ate like machines. All our mates were like this having good fun. Now it is not like this. People now just want to get something on film, it is all scripted and the interactions they have now are so damn awkward. They don't even cause carnage, they might just throw an egg at a window or damage something with too much of a thought process going on. These teenagers are just weirdos awkwardly on phones ALL DAY. They are all in gay designer stuff whereas teens before 2012 were in hand me downs and rags to clown around with in the playground. Weren't even poor aswell. Don't forget that we were brought up on saints row, wwe, hot women in every commercial, clubland, thrash metal and energy drinks while the youth now is brought up on endless gay ****, social media and fat people talking brainwashing stuff forcing views in cartoons and everywhere.

Haha loooll, what happened man. I remember our conversations were beast aswell. Every other day making a new thread about what happened to the era before 2012. It seems to be getting worse.

I haven't posted at all since the end of last year, just a few times when Greg Plitt had his stuff hacked/meddled with/deleted. Just wanted to make this thread about my own thoughts as a diary to make a statement in time, wasn't really looking for a discussion since people just aren't the same quality as what they used to be.

I miss the old era a lot. Wish it was 2010 again forever.

WWE and Jackass were always gay. Fake wrestling and jackasses shoving toy cars up their ass. That was the beginning of all this.

Yes, I understand where you're coming from. I remember reading some books about how when the "car" started getting mass produced and became available to the masses, people had a similar idea that you're thinking of now because "back then", average people would walk A LOT everyday and meet a lot of people while walking towards places and had tons of interactions and the cars kind of killed that people's interaction. Also I am old enough to remember when nobody had a cellphone back in the day and I think there's still so many ways to interact people nowadays IF you look for it. I mean I still hang out with my old friends and travel and go to fun places etc etc.

Factually false. There are more people that dress "deviantly" than 30 years ago. People used to wear MORE UNIFORMLY in the past than now. I live in US and I go out every single day for work or hagnouts and I do notice it. People DO dress more diversely or deviantly than in the past.

Honestly I have no idea what you're talking about. What country do you live? I live in US and whenever I go to restaurants or bars where couples come in together, they usually talk NONSTOP to each other. VERY talkative and active. GET OUT and SEE PEOPLE. That's what you do. You don't seem to be looking at reality but rather, just watching movies and think people in movies are the real people. That's my impression.
How come stuff got camp, bent and weird after 2015-2019ish? The People, TV/Movies/Actors, radio, clothes and everything is camp and bent. Before 2011 everything looked normal/had a serious tone. Before 2012 I could watch wwe, jackass, extreme sports, listen to clubland/thrash metal and watch cool stuff online then play saints row/nfs mw. Now there's no equivalent. There's nothing on MTV now. I sold my TV/Xbox for protein tubs like 4ish/5 years ago. Even the protein powder is low quality/tastes crap without sugar catering for fat people. (Same with all cereal.) I can't enjoy any foods now, the vegan section is huge and fat people are just getting even fatter and prouder??

Cars went from kitted out Mitsubushi Eclipses/Rx7s to eco crap/a standard suv, benz or bmw LOL??

This was a videogame trailer from before 2010.

Compare that to anything now I swear. A literal stripper babe talking about the coolest game in history where you could hit people with massive dildos/bash everyone to pieces and have an overall dark atmosphere and not some gay hippy bent pink ****.

I was at the beach earlier making sand castles, all the guys/girls were like 35%bf all glued to a stupid phone looking bored having 0 fun. Old people are exempt, but they were like 20-30 years old?? Not a 6 pack/total babe in sight for miles. Before 2013ish that was rare. It's the same even when I travel out of UK. I don't get it. Even the weather girl/news presenters are ugly and talking crap, before 2012 the hottest people talking the most interesting topics would come up. I've heard that the 90s were even cooler, so how come stuff went upside down in the past 10 years.

Anywhere in the bar filled with like 200 people are carbon copies doing the exact same gay ****. Anywhere in this world it is the same.

Before 2013 they would've gotten beat up. Heck they would been pushed around even after they left. Could only imagine what the 90s would've thought, they were like 10x more rough about weak spazes acting out in public.

People have 0 boundaries. Some lady wouldn't shut up about how she lost like 2kg in 2 days, everyone one was clapping and talking enourmous amounts of **** about her accomplishment. A guy walked past and didn't "acknowledge" her. (As if anyone cares.) She picked up a huge fuss and the guy threw his fruits/shopping on the floor and was called a prick by everyone. The guys barely said anything other than say he was trying to get something behind this fatass ****. I barged past and just gave the guy his fruit.

People are really getting more and more punchable. Even the guy who did nothing wrong looked gay as **** built like a weed.

15 years ago she would've been beat up and told to lose weight and **** off.

Man what happened, every day I want go kick someone's ass. All neatly in designer camp clothing showing ankles with gay poof haircuts like what the heck. 15 years ago the population now would've been the laughing stock and they'd get beat up 24/7.

The gym used to be epic. Everything was brutal and had that gritty feeling. I mean everything did. Even walking down the road or renting a book at the library was so raw and good. Everyone going about their day was like they were little mysteries walking a whole other walk of life waiting to be told to us all since nobody would ever know since there was no social media gay bullcrap everywhere. A baseline quality of life that has completely vanished now.

I wish it was 2010 now and everyday forever. Everything I own and do is from that era. The only people I don't mind talking to are old people and librarians. Mechanics, businessmen, gym goers, women in any field, mma fighters or anyone just has this gay camp stupid theme about them.

I was talking to this librarian for hours and she was the most interesting person ever. Talking about the architecture of the building and how she liked the old roman empire designs as opposed to the "post office stale" designs now. Man I think the same way. Sadly this lady who's like 41 or whatever will never get credit for her interesting topics, nobody will be there to pick her brain since nobody really talks and they'd rather just play on a phone all day all awkward and gay. 20 years ago she was like 21 and would've been ecstatic to be talking to all walks of life which was 100% happening 24/7 before 2012. Now she is just there waiting until closing time. So sad, I feel bad as there's nothing you can do.

2010 wasn't even that long ago, what happened I swear.

It is true, camp bent wimps with neat little short back and sides designer camp clothing showing ankles all texting awkwardly on phones. What kind of a life is that? Every guy of any age under like 55 is like this.

I don't get it, 15 years ago guys looked badass like 50 cent, Paul Walker, Bautista and they were our idols. Guys now are fat pathetic and camp as heck. Guys now idolise that weird crap. Nowhere near that old standard. Even the women now are nowhere near Christina Aguilera/Madonna/Pink old image style/way of talking.

I actually am from basically almost every culture out there. I am all over the world at any given time. Born in London, raised elsewhere in UK. Parents are from Sri-Lanka/***** and we follow their traditions/go out there all the time. My name is Japanese. I have family all over the world, so in my childhood I traveled everywhere from Japan to Bahrain to Maldives and basically enveloped the old 90s/2000s UK/US culture and lived with it forever.

Miss 2010 a lot. Nothing beats it. My life is amazing and always has been, I just don't get what is happening with the world around me. This is nothing like what I grew up with.

Camp is like a form of gay womany type behaviour/design. Like whatever guy you'll ever see in this era. E.g, short back and sides, in neat little designer clothing with ankles showing and talking/going around like wimps afraid to talk. This criteria is like 99% of men since that is normal now, 15 years ago that's the description of a nerd who got bashed against a locker in school. The nerds back then were cooler. Bent is a bender, I don't know, basically the same thing, just a moron.

Yes, America was nuts in 2005. Its what I base my whole life around really. Watching Malcolm in the Middle, Extreme Sports, Jackass, Dbz, etc etc. They did an amazing job back then. Geniuses.

Paul Walker into cars or Bautista bashing people is how guys were. Then there was Rambo/Bruce Lee and The Terminator for guys even before that. We all looked up to those guys. Women weren't just black or fat for the sake of it, you had Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, Missy Elliott, Sugarbabes/Spicegirls and people from even more backgrounds being cool without being on screen for looking different. Nobody gave a crap that they were black/fat/pencil thin or something. They never even cared or bothered mentioning it. They all got into the spotlight through their own merit and accomplishments. Then up to around 2015 there has been nobody, the actors/celebrities are absolute atrocities and they look beyond horrific let alone the weird crap they try to talk about. They try to blow up/sensationalise their story even though it is nothing and 99% of their story is that they are fat or black or they were bullied battling demons or some made up crap. Nothing interestong and there certainly isn't any talent.

Heck, the women power crap now is such a load of nonsense. 20 years ago you had the Tomb Raider, Buffy, Resident Evil, super hot characters in movies like Charlie's Angels or whatever. That is inspiring to me. Powerful if you must say. Destinys Child released powerful songs, so did Kelly Rowlands. It was nice. That was done so subtly and nobody cared, just liked the movies/songs for what it was. Charlies Angels with Cameron Diaz had a chinese lady in it, Lucy Lu. Now it's all in your face, fat and ugly, weird nonsense that isnt powerful.

I don't get what happened. Stuff was so relaxed yet hardcore before 2011. The 90s was even rougher and had a no nonsense kind of thing going. Very Yet guys now have forgotten all of that and have ended up being the worst ever.

I don't know what u mean. Elaborate?

Stuff has no spice to it. No mystery and there's no real reason to go to the library or anywhere since our dandy little iphones can do it all now. Heck most people are using the internet/social media as a subsitute for any form of human interaction whether that be picking up food or buying a pair of socks. Even the smallest of things like going to the doctor/talking to the checkout girl is all replaced by a phone. Since everyone does it nobody knows any better. It isn't natural and most people will argue over stuff people 15 years ago didn't even acknowledge as an afterthought. A guy back then could be in the process of being called a prick/fanny and he'd just laugh and they'd either kick each others asses or become mates because that was like a guy code to be clowns. Now nobody is like that, crying over nothing and wasting time.

The 90s/2000s had the greatest equilibrium you could ever have. Study a map/engage braincells on your travels, ask villagers for directions, stop in at the library, use your flip phone to send a quick text/make a call, meet up with some strangers when out and about since people were like 100x more normal/interesting back then, head to a dvd store for a nice end to a busy day. Food/clothes and everything was higher quality. The people were full of life. You weren't glued to one thing like a TV/Videogame since that wasn't ideal for anyone, we universally wanted to do things and not waste away for like 99% of the population. Being indoors and isolated would be a form of hell for people before 2008 or something. We all had a mutual understanding to have fun and do everything in moderation. People were hard working I swear, passed down from generations of people who were out and about 24/7 surviving until the 80s-2010 happened where everything was perfection. At that point you still worked hard, but in a world where people were pleasant and happy/looking pretty cool as 2nd nature.

Now it's just, phone phone phone computer copy whatever is popular and that is people's entire days/weeks or even lives really. Chuck these idiots on a conveyer belt, there is 0 difference. I hate this, before everyone was living similar lives, going about life was a mystery and meeting new people was amazing. What happened I swear.

I don't get why I only see this. Some say they agree but they sound like nutcases and are probably just outcasts talking extreme crap while looking ugly with 0 hobbies. I'm out 24/7 doing a ton everyday, this is on my mind a lot and I just wish it was 2010 again.
Yeah exactly, people just talk about politics, anime and weird ****. You sound like this guy I used to msg on here a while ago minus the extreme stuff. Then their lives are engulfed in social media and just the most gayest **** ever. The guys saying this look like wimps with their neat little haircuts and soft jokes/awkward garbage they talk. Guys 15 years ago would never think like this, we all had like a guy code of sorts. Say any of this nonsense back then and you'd get your ass kicked or people would just look at you from another planet and you'd get told to **** off.

Everyone is like this, there's no inbetween. Guys/women look horrendous, no style and that isn't something that comes and goes with time. Guys have always looked cool and women always had that elegant look they all wanted. Something that is "weird" to a guy now is if he didn't open up and spill all his emotions/fantasy mental illnesses on the table before you even know his name. Can't even make this up.

I haven't changed at all in the past years. Why did that happen to you? Just did that 2000s lifestyle on loop forever, never even thought about it until 2018. That's when stuff got illogical and the people around me were just getting weirder and weirder until we reached a point where they're acting like different breeds.

People are useless, ask them to do any diy/household maintenance that requires a bit of critical thinking. This couple at the grocery store were perplexed at how to put up a curtain rail. Now, don't confuse actually screwing it into the wall, they just didn't know how to attach the curtain to the ****ing hoops, not because it is a bit awkward, their questions were literally saying that they don't have the tools and that they'd rather pay someone to put it up. As if?? A couple in their 30s, like what the heck. Our grandparents would tear our toaster/hairdryer in half tinkering for weeks until it was fixed, no way would they bother with a warranty or any easy way out. What happened I swear.

I wish it was 2010 again, there was nothing wrong with it. Perfect quality of life, everyone got a healthy level of exposure to everything. It was your choice to be online in like 1000 dedicated interesting forums. Now it is just Reddit and random scraps online, you just stumble across horrendous **** and teenagers/people are forwarding it around like it is nothing. Absolute mess of an era.

Yeah, stuff doesn't even make sense anymore. Everything is so soft and nothing is normal. People in the 90s/2000s just seemed perfect. They didn't complain about dumb ****, if there was a protestor or nutcase (which was rare), nobody would even notice. They'd just look, laugh, then tell the family about the moron they saw at dinner. End of. Now people will talk on and on and on about absolutely nothing just wasting endless time about some basic crap. E.g, saying the word gay or spazzing out over a TV show being offensive. Nobody used to care about that crap, it was just stuff that wasn't even in the back of our minds. Just having fun in life, nobody has fun now. So weird.

Wish it was 1980-2010 again, would love to live a full life in that perfect world.

Also I am old enough to remember when nobody had a cellphone back in the day and I think there's still so many ways to interact people nowadays IF you look for it. I mean I still hang out with my old friends and travel and go to fun places etc etc.
Yeah that is a pretty good example actually. That must've been ages ago haha. Same sentiment to which I can agree with aswell. I actually had a car for a while, stopped using it and got back on the bus/public transport. Why? I liked the rush of getting from point A-B and following along the journey on foot. Meeting people in what would otherwise be an awkward long moment of silence. However as time went by the usual scene of typical passengers looking out of the windows, whistling, reading a hardcover book, cracking jokes and being rowdy for fun doesn't compare to the more recent times of depressed mopey ****s with earphones in with their head glued downwards to a phone. You just can't work with this **** not to mention that these ****s just don't know how to communicate since all they know is phones/scripted dialogue responses from the internet/TV. They look embarrassing and ugly aswell.

So many memories on the bus/train could never happen now. So many actually offensive jokes that we all laughed along with because nobody was serious. Could never happen now. I remember one time some me and some fat black lady was just whistling and the old guys/grandmas would just join in and after the whistling session was over they'd tell us a whole story about their lives literally treating us like beaming eyed kids. I saw the black lady once years ago and she still remembered. It was amazing, teens now wouldn't appreciate that, they'd just get all depressed and scroll more on a phone whilst the grandma is perplexed at this bullcrap, heck they'd be rude and start filming a "crazy lady on the bus". Stuff has changed a lot, so far backwards and basically all of it is thanks to phones/social media and ease of access.

Sure but it is very rare and "looking for it" wasn't even a thing before 2012, people also dressed/looked normally. People all had that tact/universal code where we'd all be mates in the next 5 minutes regardless on who insulted who.

It was never like this, I've lived in over 9 countries and it's all the same. Constant phones and constant awkward interactions, sure there's the few anomalies who may talk fluently, but they still have damn phones to play on all the time and they usually look like copy and paste social media clowns. There's always a flaw that people before 2011 never had. The exception being places like Sri-Lanka where they thrive on manual labour/markets, that was nice and refreshing to see. How difficult it is to attain the things we live on and take for granted, I hate how the modern world is complacent with the things they have. Ask any fatass now to hunt for his chicken and he'd quiver in fear near a rockpool the second the baby chick made a cluck sound. It's not fair how we can devour like 50 different foods and buy any electronics nobody could ever figure out how to make all with a silly salary, too much power and nobody appreciates it. I appreciate it.

Yeah and the trade off isn't worth it. Your life when smart phones or even standard cellphones weren't around must've been heaven. The rest of the quote you quoted is all so true and it is a shame it got like this. I have used my flip phone everyday for years now, I really live how I type. I am out 24/7 visiting all ends of the world, I have tons of hobbies, I lift and studied hard. But what I do will not change the world I live in. I don't even have internet in my house and haven't watched a new TV show in like 9 years as it is just recycled gay rubbish and I have no idea about music after 2013 since it is ****. All my old mates moved with this gay social media era. I'm quite young aswell and all my stuff in my house is from before 2012, I really miss the 2010 era, there was nothing wrong with it, wish I could just live there again for 1 day and forever.

I sometimes think about how my life would've been different had I lived entirely in 1980-2010 or just stayed in 2010. I would never have thought of all this crap, would've just loved life for what it was.

^^ Yeah I am aware of the Mandela effect, either way people just don't seem bothered. They see cool guys like younger Michael Jackson, Bautista, Paul Walker, Eminem, Mariusz Pudzianowski or anyone from the old era yet they act/look how they do. The old footage is still all there, people make no sense and I swear there is almost 8 billion people out there now. Too many morons I swear. The population has like 10 normal people somewhere haha.

For the internet thing I am in a hotel, weekend until Monday morning and they have a small gay little computer suite which has these detachable gay little tablets, I have been up all night reading today.
