I don't get it. You drink piss like light beer yet you claim to get hangovers? Something here doesn't add up.

Good point. If I lightbeermax no hangover. It’s IPAs and liquor that make the morning brutal

This is the single dumbest flex I've ever witnessed.

Next tell us how many times you crashed your car in the same day because you couldn't decipher the brake from the gas pedal.

Fuking lmao @ bragging about drinking 20 beers and whatever else in one day like it's a genetic win. Yeah, you're Clevon from Idiocracy. Your genes will last forever.

i had a stint in in-patient detox because i got to a place somewhat adjacent to where i am now and thought the medical establishment could produce a result more favorable than simply slowing down and eventually stopping

Go back. Alcoholism is highly resistant to treatment and has a high relapse rate. That's just true. But the only way to eventually beat it is to keep trying.

Don't let these idiots around here egg you on. Srs.

Lmao strong. It's extremely common for grown men to drink a couple of beers at night, especially during the weekends. Obviously getting hangovers super quickly makes somebody a pussy and the opposite is true for people who don't get hangovers easily.

Always stick with beer. It’s a lot easier to drink a ton of liquor than it is to drink a ton of beer - in equivalent alcohol. Beer has more volume and takes longer to drink and fills you up. You can milk a beer - it's hard to milk a small mixed drink with ice. Less alcohol means less hangover. Liquor is like jet fuel, rocket fuel, highly flammable and combustible. Fire water. The Devil’s Juice. Turns a saint into a sinner.

I only drink socially. Never at home and never alone.

Ratfish check out this book. I had a family member dealing with alcohol issues 7-8 years ago who read this book and hasn't gone back to alcohol since.

I read it too because reading is my thing and cardio is boring.

It might be a good start to get you in the right mindset to quit.

i am in touch with that emotion. 9 months ago i would call friends completely rinsed and tell them i wanted to die but was too pussy to actually kill myself, so i was hoping i would just die due to alcohol or some other disease.

i was completely delusional into thinking i couldnt right the ship but started to realize that was alcohol - it ****s with your mental so heavy

past 9 months i have drank but nowhere near the extent of the prior 2 years

by making this thread and posting videos i think you subconsciously want to change - now it's just a matter of getting that want to the conscious level

I don't know much about the dude except that I think he's an obese dude in his 40s, seems a bit much to dismiss him just based on that. But given his posts here and your reaction I guess he's a bit of a weirdo too eh? Maybe he used to be a drunk and is sensitive about the subject.

There should be an obvious difference between functioning and non-functioning alcoholics. I'm just legit surprised that it seems like OP falls into the latter category when his drinking habits don't seem extreme at all.

I think you're technically considered an alcoholic when you drink something like 3 or 4+ beers a week. Doesn't mean anything.

it depends on what your definition of trouble is.

my definition is getting blackout, being escorted out of the bar, and waking up with a $400 bar tab.

now that i just stick with Corona Lights, that doesn't happen anymore.

I had to stop having a glass of wine with dinner every night as I was following this French meal plan where of course they have wine at dinner but it really was bad. I'll drink socially but limit it at 1 now. I had some bad wake-up calls that were posted on here earlier this year.

I hope you can beat this, Ratfish. It's going to be a daily battle I think.
