People die of liver failure from drinking Coors light all the time bro.

And you don’t have to get blackout drunk, or even drunk, to kill yourself with alcohol over time.

Your exit advice is to go to a hospital and detox.

It actually happens, if you can believe that. Just regular old beer, some guy drinking a 12-pack a day and suddenly finding out he’s fuked because he’s been doing it for 10 years.

It's gotta be very rare though. Never heard of this and the amount of alcoholics is huge.

I grew up with a guy who died a couple of years ago from drinking. We played football together and knew each other our whole lives.

I don't know what he drank or how much, but he literally drank himself to death. And it didn't take him fifty years. It took 15 years.

It’s a leading cause of death in the US, and people most definitely die from liver failure drinking beer. Ask any hepatologist or gastroenterologist bro. Or any transplant surgeon that gives people new livers.

Exit advice: Detox safely and see a doctor for medication that calms you down so there isn't a craving for using the downer (alcohol). It could save your liver and your life

Yeah dude the damage starts showing up way before you notice symptoms. Most people with cirrhosis are actually completely asymptomatic.

And it doesn’t take long.

Well, anyway. Ratfish hope you get the help you need.

read the part in Stephen King's autobiography "On Writing" when he talks about being a drug addict and alcoholic. He was crushing a case of light beer a day + doing massive amounts of pepsi. He had to put cotton balls up his nose to keep the blood from dripping on his typewriter.

he articulates the benefit of sobriety better than anyone i have heard srs
