The true "top 1 percent" of society are people that own time -- NOT money.

It's time to redefine what wealth is.

Time is our most precious commodity.

Once food, shelter, clothing and healthcare are covered -- the degree to which a person owns time is the true measure of wealth.

Money is completely irrelevant if 66% of one's waking life is devoted to a job you'd rather not be at.

Look around you -- people working jobs they hate (99% of people) are screaming from the rooftops about how much they hate life. Some even running to the bottle at every opportunity.

A new age is upon us boyos.

Yeah this line of thinking where people want to be TikTok and YouTube stars vs 10 hour days working construction is destroying economies, leading to massive inflation and housing shortages.

You need people building chit and doing hard jobs or it’s all going to crumble and everyone will be living in poverty eating crickets.

So all those bums chitting in the street in SF are the top 1% of society? Because they all have a stranglehold on time, and get all their needs met through social programs

I'm not saying you won't have to work hard. But perhaps you can work hard while seeing an end goal -- perhaps retirement by 40 so you have a young life to enjoy.

Those hard jobs ain't worth it if you don't have time to yourself or family. There's got to be a balance and with how advanced we are as a species, there's no excuse to work 40hrs/wk anymore.

LOL at 1 to 2 million. Have you seen the average household income. Good Luck hitting 1 million with a $75k salary. Maybe if you didn't have kids or got married and lived in a van it'd be possible.

I don't think you'd need $300k/yr for all of that. Depends on your living costs. Live basic since you won't be at home. I think $175k would be more than enough. Of course you should never stop investing, so maybe $200k
